I moved to the area August of 2012. Before that I had gone to the same person for about 12 years. I was nervous to have someone new work on my hair. I always get blonde hight lights and a cut. I will say I love my hair. I had it done by Lauren about 5 times she was always very careful to give me what I wanted. However one day I mentioned that I have been thinking about getting my eyebrows waxed. She said she could do them for me. I let her know I was nervous since I have never done it and I have seen some pretty bad eyebrows out there. She assured me she is really good at it and not to worry. So I went for it… Well when she was done it really burned and hurt bad. I have had a Brazilian before and it didn’t hurt as bad as my eyebrows. I walked out to my car and got better look. I noticed my skin had been ripped off. I walked back in and showed Lauren and the esthetician. I was then asked if I take any oral acne medication. I told them I don’t. Lauren said this has never happened before and apologized. I was told to ice it and put ointment on it. I spoke to some of my salon friends who let me know these questions should have been asked prior to the wax. The waxing should have stopped once the first strip showed ripped skin. I called later that week to speak with the owner to let her know what happened. I didn’t want to get Lauren in trouble; but I felt that after having to look the way I did for 2 weeks along with tremendous pain I went through I deserved something. The owner was nothing but combative. She had no compassion for the situation and repeatedly said it wasn’t Lauren’s fault. I let her know I knew it was an accident but I felt that she should do something for me. She was nothing but rude and uncaring. Finally she offered to give me money back for the service. Obviously I felt it was worth more than that. In any other situation a good business owner would have wanted to keep a client. Not only am I loyal but I make sure to tell everyone about my great experience in hopes to build clients for my hairdresser. I think this is the case of bad ownership. I will never go back to this place and hope no one else goes through what I went through. I work in sales and have to see customers everyday. This salon is not customer focused. If you plan to sell a service you should try and make the customer happy.

Not a place to call home. I was extremely underwhelmed by my cut. I don’t like going to kids that are obviously so young they think they know what’s best. Listen and help. Cut in a straight line and a girl could be happy! The gossip the girls chatter about was also un called for. Keep it professional.

I have enjoyed every single visit to this salon. I went to Katie Zeh to get a pedicure. I love this place because they don’t use those gross machines with tubes. Katie is super, always upbeat and positive. She does the most amazing job massaging your legs and feet. If you want to treat yourself to a very professional experience where you can leave feeling totally relaxed, this is the place!!!

I was really upset leaving the salon. I always warn everyone about this salon, because I can never forget how they burned my scalp with a bleach application. I had sores on my head for months that had puss and were very painful. I told the salon and they offered to give me a treatment, but I was scared to go back. I just feel like they were trying to do too many people’s hair at once. I kept telling the girl that the bleach hurt, but she kept saying, «just a few more minutes.»

I love love love this place! They use all natural products, listen to what you want, and you get a lot for the price including great service and a relaxing atmosphere. The best part is, you can bring your kids and there is a wonderful children’s salon where they can watch movies while sitting in their own car. I have had my nails and hair done here several times and love coming back for more!

I went in last week for the first time to get a spray tan for an upcoming wedding. I wanted just a summer glow because I am fair to begin with. I got there early and was happy the salon wasn’t busy because I had alot of errands. I waited almost thirty minutes, nobody told me why I was waiting so long. As I was texting my husband to tell him I was just going to leave, someone finally came back to tell me it was my turn. So I put the waiting behind me and went in. I was happy when she told me I wouldn’t turn orange and it was all natural which was great. Needless to say I got home and my husband was shocked at how dark it came out. I scrubbed all day with damp towels to take the crazy tan down to a normal level. I will not go back there because the girls were not very friendly and my tan came out pretty terrible.

Okaaaay… so after a few visits I have to ask, who was I kidding??? Myself actually, I was just kidding myself. I was hoping I had found a stylist I could stick with, but no… I’m back on the hunt for a stylist. Either that, or I’m gonna start cutting my own hair! hahaha

Cut good, but color not so good. Products ok but I like Aveda better. If you live in the general area, then go see Ashley for a good cut. She listens and does a nice job. If you are an older client and need color and lights to cover gray don’t.

If you watch the Bravo channel for, oh, at least 10 minutes you’ll see a commercial for the newly opened Salon Spice. I was lured by the«20% off your first appointment» promise, my roommate said she had an A-OK experience here, and I was in DESPERATE need of a cut, so I gave the place a shot. …mmmmmeh. I think I was just… underwhelmed. There was nothing necessarily *wrong* with my visit, but there wasn’t anything spectacular about it either. The place is very new. All the products they use are green(can’t remember the brand name), which is cool, but Aveda works with the same concept and I like their stuff a lot better. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. My style and cut was fine but I think I’ll just stick with Aveda salons.
