Kathy started in the real estate business in 1986 and was voted Rookie and Realtor of the year in her first year as a real estate agent. Her daughter and business partner, Heather Bortnick got her licenses in 1993. They started a mother daughter team in the early 90s and that is when The Koehler Bortnick Team concept was created. The team consists of a full time office staff of 8 employees and more than 30 buyer agent specialists in four ReeceNichols office locations: Leawood, Prairie Village, Lee’s Summit and the Northland. The Koehler Bortnick Team is the #1 real estate team for buyers and sellers in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.
