I really enjoy Chelsea’s! It has great food, a good atmosphere and even better service by Megan the waitress. She serves me atleast twice a week, and always treats me like I’m her only table. My favorite thing to eat there is the blackened chicken, and Megan will always offer to substitute sweet potato fries which are SO good. Can’t wait to come back to Chelsea’s no matter how many people complain, this is a great place with a great waitress.

I went into Chelseas last night to have a beer and eat some dinner. I sat at the bar as usual for me and ordered my beer and some nachos. The bartender was pleasant and attentive, all was well. When I got my nachos I happily began to eat them. I had only gotten a few chips in when I used my fork to eat some of the lettuce on top of the pile. I got one bite and then saw what I think was a click beetle crawling in my lettuce. I calmly, because I am not scared of insects, removed it from my nachos and placed it on my napkin. I did not kill it then just held it there to show the bartender when she returned to the bar. I showed her the beetle and she took my nachos away. I did not raise a fuss. I was polite and discreet. The couple sitting to my left had no idea that I had just pulled a bug out of my food. I was given a second plate of nachos promptly and while I had reservations I began eating those as well. This time I made it in maybe two nachos and the couple to my left reached out and trapped a beetle that had just scurried from my plate. Again I did not raise a fuss, nor did the couple to my left. We calmly waited for the bartender and showed her the now crushed beetle. This time I said I did not want another plate of food. I sat there at the bar finished my beer and waited for someone to apologize or make reparations. NOTHING. So I paid for my beers(the nachos were not on my bill) and tipped the bartender for 5.00 for two beers because I know it is not her fault and she should get a tip for the amount I would have paid for my entire bill. I then on my way out told one of the servers that I had two different plates of nachos and both had bugs in them and that I was upset that no one approached me with an apology. He then said he had heard about that and was sorry. I walked out the door and then the owner herself yelled after me that there where no bugs in their food and that I was a liar that I put the bugs there and she was going to look at the video to prove it. I said go ahead you will see my pulling the beetle out of my nachos and placing it on the napkin. I said talk to the people next to me they caught one of them too. At this point She said she was going to call the cops and that I was never to come back there again. Unbelievable! I did not actually eat any dinner so Im not sure why I would plant bugs in my food. I left here so angry and disappointed in this place. I have been here before. I have eaten food here and it was fine. I have had several conversations with the owner and they were pleasant. She asked me if I went to church and we talked about her faith. I wore my Seattle Seahawks hat in there once and she asked me about Russel Wilson and she told me he was one of her favorites. What is wrong with people. Enough is enough I will not be bullied and threatened. I did nothing wrong in fact I was polite and discreet the entire time. I will never go here again and I am going to tell my story to EVERYONE i know. Thanks Chelsea’s 22! #bugsinthefood #bipolarowner

My husband, 4 year old daughter, and myself went to Chelsea’s tonight for dinner and had a terrible experience all the way around. We sat outside which was nice but waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. It was pretty hot and we were all thirsty. It was nice to see servers go right past us again and again never even look at us. Finally the girl came and told us what beers were on tap. I was interested in the Brooklyn seasonal beer but never had it so was unsure if I would like it or not. The girl(named Megan) offered to bring me a sample so I could try it. I thought that was really nice and made me feel like we were going to have great service for the rest of the meal. I was wrong. We had wings for an appetizer and they were pretty good. After that is when things started to go wrong. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese which came out first. It was pretty weird. It was penne pasta with a disgusting bright orange cheese wiz like sauce. At that time I also ordered another drink for my daughter to have with her dinner. Next my taco salad came out which looked pretty good. I started eating and realized that my husband’s burger didn’t come out yet. He told me not to worry about it and to go ahead and eat, so I did. About half way in, my husband still didn’t have his dinner and was starting to get impatient. I noticed that there was a lady at the other end of the patio that was sending her burger back. Right away I realized that they gave her my husband’s burger. Another several minutes ticked by and still no dinner and no server to tell us what was going on. I stopped another girl that was bussing the table next to ours and told her that my husband never received his dinner. She said that’s because the cooks accidentally switched orders and they had to remake both of them. Wow, that was cool. Obviously there was something going on in the kitchen and everyone knew about it yet no one could tell us until I stopped someone to ask. I took my daughter to the bathroom and when I returned I saw my husband visibly upset talking to our server Megan. I asked him what happened and he showed me his burger. He ordered it medium rare and it came out extremely well done. It was dry and hard. The server told him she would send the owner out to speak to him. After another 10 minute wait a woman came to our table to ask what was wrong. She didn’t introduce herself, never told us her name or what her position was just that she was sorry and that they have a new chef in the kitchen tonight. Usually she works in the kitchen but the bar was busy so she was working behind the bar tonight. She asked my husband if he wanted a new meal and he said no. My daughter and I were already done with our meals and he didn’t want to sit around waiting some more. She said she wouldn’t charge us for his burger and the server would be right out with the check. After another 10 – 15 minutes or so the server finally came with the check. My husband mentioned to her that we ordered another drink for my daughter but it never came. She said sorry then dropped the check and took off like a bat out of hell. My husband picked the check up and looked at it and saw that they didn’t charge us for the burger but also didn’t do anything further. It would have been nice to have received some sort of discount or a couple of drinks taken off the bill or something, but no. They did nothing. He was pissed. He found the woman that spoke to us behind the bar and gave her the check and his credit card and told her that in addition to issues in the kitchen, they also have issues with service. He told her how we waited forever for drinks when we first got there and how my daughter had to eat her dinner without a drink because she was never given the second her that we ordered for her. Then he walked away and went back outside to our table hoping she would bring a discounted check back with his credit card. After several more minutes went by, she finally came back with the same check that had not been discounted and a bunch of excuses. She then said that the servers are new and are in training as well. Apparently the entire staff is new? Maybe that’s a reflection on how they run their restaurant. She then gave us a $ 10 gift card to use«next time» we come. Are you serious? There will be no next time. We left the gift card on table with a $ 0 tip. If they would have made us feel like they actually cared and didn’t make a hundred excuses as to why we should accept their crappy service, maybe we actually would have given them another chance and it probably would have avoided this negative review as well… I’m a manager at my workplace and I would never allow this type of service from my team.

Chelsea’s is the hidden jewel in the area the food and service is above expectation. Every dish goes way beyond expectation. You can try other restaurant’s but none Will surpass your experience at ‘Chelsea’s. The food is fresh, prepared to perfection and no disappoint here. Take it from someone who has tried the rest, andput Chelsea’s above the rest.

Stopped in with the family for dinner. Place was pretty full for a early Saturday night. We were seated very quickly. Our waitress was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended a few items which we decided to order. She was right the wings was amazing and a few of the other appetizers. We ordered our meals and everything came out very good. We were very happy especially after reading a few of the reviews. Definitely will be back again.

After 3 bad experiences, I am leaving my review. Eating there can have a wait, but the food made it tolerable. But whenever I am picking up food, I do not experience good service on any level. I have gone here multiple times the last few years, and the food was good. On occasion it would be a long wait, but with the hours in the day it occurred, it was reasonable. Today, I went for the last time. I have ordered food for pick up 3 times since summer, never when busy. All 3 times I had to wait for the food to get done. And this wasn’t 5 minutes either, I wait 10 – 25 minutes each time. I am left to assume my order was not remembered today until I walked through the door to pick it up either. I say this because I ordered a well done burger I had to wait 20 minutes after ordering 20 minutes before that and 2⁄3 of the meat was pink. 40 minutes for a half cooked burger?

have been going to chelsea’s for a long time — generally fine with decent burgers and salads. today it went off the rails. place was empty when we went in, then a huge party arrived and sat out in the sun room. after 15 minutes, we watched a parade of food go out to the sunroom. after 25 minutes i asked if they’d check on our food. after a half hour, i told them we really needed the food or we’d have to leave since one of our party had to get to the airport. food finally arrived after more than 35 minute wait — for two salads! the reason for the review is not so much this, as a bad day can happen any place. but when i told the kid waiting on us that he has to let the kitchen know that they can’t forget the rest of the restaurant when a big party comes in, he said, ‘i agree, i’m sorry’. that was it. to me, the manager should have come over and made some kind of effort to let us know they blew it — nothing. i wasn’t looking for a handout, but just some reflection that they were sorry and were trying to make it right. done with chelsea’s. jw

Chelsea’s changed hands several years ago. I think that’s why the place is often empty now… oh no, that’s not entirely accurate. It’s empty because the food and service are atrocious in my opinion. I wish their landlord would raise their rent so they’d have to close and then maybe a good restaurant would take over. Or maybe a car wash. When is Unilocal gonna have a zero star option???

Excellent service: waiter was great! We both had wings and burgers. Wings barely had any sauce on them. We asked for extra wing sauce but it wasn’t very good anyways. Our burgers didn’t seem like they were seasoned at all. We won’t be going back :(

This is a great roadside stop! The chili fries and wings are huge portions and the prices were moderate. Great selection of beers on tap. Will definitely be back.

Skip it! The only reason they deserve even one star is that the wings were decent — but do yourself a favor and get them to go. Otherwise lousy food and even worse service! We went around 3:00 on a Saturday, so it was neither lunchtime nor dinner rush. In fact, there were plenty of empty seats both in bar and dining room area, yet the staff was so flustered, cranky, and inattentive you’d swear they were jam-packed! Took forever to get drinks and we were beyond ready for another round by the time food orders were taken. Food was slow to arrive also and my order was wrong. I sent back what was supposed to be drunken clams but were just plain steamers, but maybe I should have just dealt with it. What I got in return was rubbery overcooked clams with what seemed to be a microwaved can of beer poured over top. Not a broth, no garlic or other spices, just beer! And while the server/bartender made a disgusted face when I pointed out two discolored & shriveled bad ones, she did not offer to do anything about it. A polite complaint to management did no good either. Would you believe her response was«I hope you give us another try!» Are you kidding me? No apology, nothing taken off the bill? Unbelievable!

We stopped by this nice roadside pub on our way back from wine tasting. Located right on RT22 it makes for a easy in /out. Once inside they have a small bar area, a dinning room, and what looks like a covered deck area. We sat at the bar and took advantage of the football specials which are the same as happy hour specials(M-F 4 – 7). $ 2 yuengeling drafts, $ 6⁄12 wings among others $ 5 chilli fries. The beer was poured right to the rim, wings were good but not spicy, and the chili fries were also good. Definitely canned chili but still good. We were expecting more of an English pub atmosphere and menu, so we were a bit surprised not to see more of that. My husbands menu was splattered with food particles and the food server and bartender didn’t communicate very well. The food server was mumbling under her breath and looking for what table ordered what food on every run out of the kitchen. Hopefully with a little bit of training and management this place could really be a great place to go.

I went for happy hour yesterday with some of the ladies and I enjoyed myself. The place itself is not the BEST looking inside but the drinks were tasty and for $ 3, you can’t really beat that. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed my Everything Salad with the Asian dressing. The fried calamari and onion straws really took it over the top. Will probably return.
