Baskin Robbins

On our trek to NoCal we stopped for gas just on the north side of the Grapevine and decided to grab a bite at Wendy’s then swing over next door to Baskin Robins. It was a hot day on I-​5 and a good ice cream or froyo would hit the spot. I’ve never had their froyo so I decided to get a small scoop.
I think that Baskin Robins got into the froyo business in the early days when everyone was trying to imitate ice cream rather than emphasizing the froyo in its own right. The froyo was good and creamy but did not have a unique taste. In addition, they only had one flavor and did not offer any toppings, maybe I should’ve asked but I shouldn’t have to.
Linda C. ordered their single scoop pistachio so I snuck a taste — yup THAT hit the spot.
Next time? I’ll stick with ice cream.
