Holiday Inn Express & Suites Inverness-Lecanto

I am writing to express my appreciation for the quality of service you offered me the days of my stay. I would like to first comment on how pleased I was with the customer service provided to me by the front desk associate Angelo (this young man is ready for your management team) is very professional and extremely friendly and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure our stay was satisfactory. I was greeted with a warm smile upon checking-​in.
The hotel grounds were very clean and well kept… Plenty of free parking. Our room was very clean — it was a large suite, the king bed was comfy (but I dislike the pillows). I also was not a fan of the dehumidifier running for «air quality» but you can turn it off if you are going to bed. The Bathroom was spotless (I mean super clean); plenty of plush clean towels. Nice flat-​screen TV. Also free Wi-Fi…I did not have any issues connecting my tablet or cell phone to it.
Just a couple miles are every store you could want. Walmart, Winn-​Dixie, Publix, CVS, etc. There are also several restaurants within a few miles — Panera, Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesdays, and the usual fast-​food joints. I would say in walking distance but in Florida and the heat on a hot summer day may not be a good walk… but, it’s just a short drive away.
Breakfast is complimentary… with the usual suspects… Biscuits & Gravy, French Toast, Waffles or pancakes, English Muffins, Oatmeal, Sliced Bread, Bagels, Assorted Cereals, Yogurt, Milk, Coffee, Assorted Juices, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage Links, Sausage Patties, as well as bananas and apples. Keep in mind it’s complimentary so items are subject to change depending on the day of your stay.
This is a wonderful place to stay when you are in this area. I most definitely will stay here again and again. It’s a bit pricey because it is the only nice clean hotel in the area. So to me it is worth the money to know I am sleeping in a safe clean hotel.

Excellent hotel! Extremely clean. Friendly staff. I will most certainly stay here again. Just 5 or 10 minutes from all of Inverness. Very nice breakfast too.

Hotel, Motel, Holiday Innnnn. Throughout my years of road tripping up and down the east coast, I’ve stayed at a few Holiday Inns. Some were places even sewer rats and cockroaches would scoff at, while others were diamonds in the rough, welcoming me after a long day of driving to a soft cozy bed, hot shower and decent breakfast in the morning for a bargain price. Thankfully, this Holiday Inn was the latter. Brought my Mum down from Jersey for a week-​long road trip adventure from Crystal River, FL to Key West. I picked her up at the Orlando-​Sanford airport after a severely delayed flight. I didn’t feel like driving so I decided to take a chance on Hotwire and find a deal. I got the room for $ 80-​something. After all the taxes and BS, it was just over $ 100 bucks. We arrived super late at night. The woman at the counter looked bright-​eyed and bushy-​tailed at 2 a.m. She sped through the check-​in process and offered our keys with a smile. I was beyond parched and made mention of this to my Mom. The woman at the front desk gave me a bottled water which I accepted and sucked down like someone lost in the Sahara Desert. The room was completely updated and absolutely spotless. The bed felt like a fluffy cloud. The water in the shower had great pressure and was hot. Sadly, we did not spend much time here. We had to meet my Dad in the morning to visit the Homosassa Wildlife Reserve (so fun). On our way out we snagged a cinnamon bun and coffee from the breakfast bar. The food wasn’t fantastic — typical hotel buffet stuff like scrambled box-​o-​eggs, biscuits/​gravy, danishes, yogurts and cereal for the kids. However, it was hot, clean and fresh. No signs of hockey puck bagels. The buffet was perfect for a hungry family traveling with finicky kids. Lots of options. I would visit this Holiday Inn again in a heartbeat!

I stayed here while visiting the area for work and I was actually surprised at how nice of a Hotel it was for being a Holiday Inn Express. The place was clean, had friendly staff and the rooms were nice. The HDTVs in the rooms actually offered HD Channels where as most places you get the grainy Standard Def Channels on them.
My only complaints were the bad restaurant recommendation I was given (can’t really fault them too much for that) and the beds were not very comfortable. Also the bedframe seemed a bit wobbly which made me nervous and restless while I tried to sleep. Other than that I would stay there again if I had to stay some place in that area.

Walking into the Holiday Inn Express is like coming home. You are greeted with wonderful staff, nice clean and fresh hotel, great breakfast bar, large, spacious and clean rooms.
They make you feel special!

Throughout the past few months my family and I hAve been in and out of this property due to my grandfather being sick. The staff is FANTASTIC they remember us every time and ask how he is doing and are very comforting. This week we had arrived due to my grandfather passing — I have never felt so at home, with out being home. The staff is phenomenal. The property is always clean and kept organized. The complimentary breakfast is a plus! The management should be very proud of their staff!

Pros: Such a friendly staff, great breakfast, and big, clean rooms.
Cons: Location (it’s kind of secluded), very limited gym (only 2 treadmills and a bike).
Can’t find much better in Inverness, though.

As with other Holiday Inn Express’s, this location is very clean, has good service, delicious breakfast, and ²⁴⁄₇ complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and hot tea. The beds are super comfortable, offer both «firm» and «soft» pillows (which are labeled so adorably on the pillow cases). The rooms offer free wifi and an awesome channel line up from Direct TV. What more can you ask for from a 2 – 3 star hotel?

Excellent hotel choice in Citrus County. Maybe because it was recently built in a County where there aren’t many choices to stay at (see my other review about the other location within the County).

The staff is friendly and they offer you a cookie (or two) and water upon checking in. And I am sure you can snag a cookie at other times too.
The rooms are clean and furnished well with modern equipment. As in a nice flat screen TV. Nice enough to have an HDMI input and connect my tablet to … and stream Netflix … since I was connected to their Wi-​Fi … overall … bonus, and bonus!
And another bonus is the free breakfast. It includes hot and cold items. Yeah, sure, there are better breakfast at other hotels … but this is good to make sure you leave the hotel without an empty stomach. The coffee might need some help, but still good.

Really clean hotel they keep here. We came with our pooch and even the pet-​friendly room was spotless, you’d never know that another pet ever stayed there. We were also right next to the outdoors, so it was easy to take him outback to the giant dog walking area.
Room was large and clean, wifi is free, front desk was very friendly and helpful, oh and… the continental breakfast was awesome!

I think this might be the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. It is really fantastic. The people at the front desk couldn’t be nicer (and even though I was staying for free with my HI points, he still upgrated me to a suite). The room is spacious, the bed is big, firm and comfortable, the bathroom is spotless and shiny clean — and very roomy. The attention to detail in cleanliness is appreciated by me. I travel on a budget, but I won’t compromise cleanliness. The price is very reasonable, also.
I also like that this HI is smoke-​free (something that Marriott has, but I find that HI’s sometimes still allow smoking). It is also pet-​friendly (for a very nominal extra fee), which I like.
Standard fantastic Holiday Inn free breakfast (they beat out Marriot with their breakfasts). The breakfast room is huge and clean, and filled with a variety of good eats.
And, of course, it has all the regular good stuff: Wi-​fi, a business center, lots of pamplets about the area, etc. There’s no shortage of that stuff.
There’s a reason this hotel consistently gets good reviews — it is the best in the area! I keep finding reasons to come back to this area just so I can stay here. Trust me!

I made a reservation at this hotel because I had to have a room near Floral City while visiting while my father was ill. Someone recommended the Holiday Inn Express in Inverness.
The staff was very courteous, my room was very clean and modern. The woman who was running the FREE (yes, free) breakfast on the morning of my birthday put a candle in a cinnamon roll and brought it out to me. Very sweet!
The housekeeping and front desk staff jumped to help and never had a negative look or word for me.
They don’t have Wi-​Fi, but they DO have FREE high speed internet connectivity as long as you have a network cable port. Very easy to hook up and sign on.
I had the basic room with two queen beds and the room also had a microwave and small refrigerator, a flat-​screen tv, full cable, a hairdryer and an iron.
I will definitely stay there again when i am back down that way!
