I’ve now gotten CPR/​AED and First Aid certified twice through SCS Safety Health & Security Associates LLC. Two years ago, I did so for the first time and just recently, I returned to get re-​certified (along with my hubby who earned his first certification). Stacy Skinner is an excellent instructor, fabulously organized, detail-​oriented and communicative. She has an incredibly well-​structured approach to their programs, sending out all components well in advance including course information, materials and updates/​confirmations.
In class, Stacy presents just the right balance of study, keeping a concise format but always allowing plenty of time for questions from all students. The interaction is very positive, and everyone always seems to learn something new from this dialogue. I did prefer the changes she has made to evolve the class format as it is currently. Stacy combined online training modules (along with exam prep questions at the end of each) that could be watched in advance at your own pace, with classroom practice sessions and hands on skills testing to ensure everyone mastered proper technique. Dividing the course content up in this manner was very nice for busy schedules and helped me complete the advance work at my convenience. The hands on training and skills testing sessions are very well monitored with lots of good tips provided.
Toward the end of class, the exams are taken and cover a wide variety of class content that was thoroughly discussed. Later that day, Stacy emails your certification card along with closing correspondence and you’re ready to go. She makes it as easy as possible for you to work the training into your schedule and get it done efficiently and effectively.
