At least two things distinguish T A Sullivan & Sons’ from other Clarendon establishments. First, they’ve been around more than 10 years(since 1885 to be precise). The current proprietor, Joe Poldiak, moved the business here in 1968. Second, the monuments they produce aren’t of the Smithsonian variety but rather are tombstones that have graced cemeteries, including Arlington Cemetery(T A Sullivan & Sons has done 70 percent of the private gravestones), for over 120 years.
