The very best events are the ones where we Unilocalers get to give back. I had never heard of the Christmas Box House or Project Elf before this event, but I am so glad I know now. It was such a treat to come learn about the charitable organizations and also learn more about the outlets. I absolutely loved their humongous Christmas tree and their Santa is top notch! Thank you For organizing, Jeffrey, and a big hue thank you to Traverse Mountain Outlets for hosting and providing the funding for the project.

This was a great event to help kids at the Christmas Box House. Famous Footwear had gift cards and 50% off the second pair of shoes or boots. They had a good variety of sizes, colors and styles. I met other Unilocalers and enjoyed the snacks Jeff arranged. Nice swag bag. Well organized event. Thanks!

This was a great way to mix it up for a fun event & a great cause. The hosts were very friendly and helped us feel welcome & at home at the Outlets. The treats were great, and the kids LOVED the visit from Santa. He was great with them. It was nice to be able to shop for some families in need and make a difference for them. Thanks for providing the opportunity to spread some holiday cheer. That was my first time at the Traverse Mountain Outlets and I’m very impressed with how clean & generally shwanky they are. I’ll definitely be coming back … well, my wife will as proxy for me anyway(it’s a win-win for both of us that way) Once again, thanks to Jeffrey for putting together a wonderful event. See you next time!

Not much more to add to what the others have already said. This was a great event that makes you feel good about shopping because this was shopping for kids who really need the things you are buying. It is too easy to get mixed up in the mode of mass holiday consumption this time of year(no judgment here; I do it better than most). It is great to take a moment and do something for others. I appreciate Unilocal and the Outlets at Traverse Mountain supporting this event.

Awesome event for a great cause! We were given a task to shop for random children for Project Elf with a provided $ 25 gift card at the Outlets at Traverse Mountains. Even though traffic was terrible getting here coming from the north. I got assigned a task to shop for a age 2 girl hoodies at Gymboree. I also picked up a few things for my baby son while at the store as well. Being the mall rat like me, we had to stop by a few more stores in the mall before heading back to drop off the gifts, obviously I hit the«easy tiger» alert from frequent check-in at the third store. After we returned, Santa arrived, and my daughter had blast talking to him and writing letter later. There were also a few places that are offering sample for Unilocalers at the mall including Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Johnny Rockets, and Bona Vita Italian Bistro. We ended up getting dinner at Bona Vita too. Thanks to Jeffrey and Meg for organizing the event for us, and all of the businesses at the mall and the outlet itself for sponsoring!

Another reason to love Unilocal,a giving-back-to-the-community event where the focus was not on food. I would have to say this has been my favorite event thus far! I loved seeing the collaboration with Project Elf and Traverse Outlets to get these kids some basic necessities. There are actually 3 Christmas Box Houses in Utah so hopefully all of these items will be divided among Moab, Salt Lake City, and Ogden locations. Overall, I thought the event was nicely accommodated by Traverse Outlets, and like the spacious meeting room. The setup with the elf assignments were so cute and easy to understand. Going to the specific stores for the requested items made it efficient to shop. The majority of us either had one $ 25 gift card for one item or two $ 25 gift card for multiple items. Being a bargain hunter, I shopped in the sale sections to get more bang for the buck(don’t worry I still chose a lot of cute items). I have worked at the Christmas Box House for over two years and can guarantee all these clothes will be put to use. There are so many kiddos coming in with nothing but the clothes on their backs due to violence in the home, unsafe living environments, their parents being incarcerated, their parents giving up parental rights, transitioning in or out of foster care, or even coming from the neuropsychiatric hospital. It was very humbling to do the very least to contribute so thank you Unilocal for sponsoring this event and everyone who was involved! –Sailor out
