Outlets At Traverse Mountain

Family bathrooms. ‘Nuf said. Until I had a baby, I never had much of an opinion of public bathrooms, except that they were a necessary evil in a civilized society. Now with a child, I have every concern walking into a public bathroom with my little one. Which explains my elation and joy in discovering the Family Bathrooms at Traverse Mountain. Oh my goodness, words really can’t express the ease and calm when using these facilities. I know, it’s an odd thing to rave about, but the bathrooms are clean, spacious, nicely laid out, there’s a toilet and a potty for both parent and child, and of course, a comfy/​cozy diaper changing area. Oh, and there’s four of them in the Main Lobby! Honestly, I use the family bathrooms every time I’m there, just to enjoy the ease of taking my kid to the bathroom with me.
As for the rest of the Outlets, it’s a great selection of brands and they seem to be growing and adding more and more stores to the mix. I can always find what I’m looking for from the variety of retailers here.
My only complaint is accessing the Outlets from the freeway. There’s always traffic because of the number of businesses near the exit and there just doesn’t seem like an easy, direct path to and from the Outlets. Man, what a pain.

Limited selection of stores, very few of which even interest me or my family. Lacks eateries, could have easily added a food court but chose not to. Cold in the winter, could have made it more sheltered like City Creek. Walk ways are large and empty, not comfortable like a mall should feel. Needs a good coffee destination for cold days, and a proper ice cream stop for hot days (not froyo, Zogo sucks). Lastly, I’ve been here a handful of times and still get lost in the maze trying to find the correct road from the freeway.
I just do not enjoy this place. It feels cold and impersonal. I’ll keep driving to Park City for all of the shopping, dining and atmosphere that area has to offer year round.

Let’s face it. There are a limited amount of things to do here in Utah. This is one of the places that I can go to that keeps me from going stir crazy at home. They have a great selection of shops and merchandise at great prices, it’s also fun to go here around the holidays just to see decorations and lights outside. I can imagine its busier during the summer. Can’t wait to go and Shop ’til I drop!

Beautiful center and definitely worth the drive! Feels much more like an upscale shopping center than an outlet mall.

There’s a great selection at these outlets and some good food places as well (italian, burgers, etc). My favorite stores here are H&M, gap, Nike and Under Armour. The facilities themselves are really nice, wide walkways, bathrooms, sidewalk fireplaces. Easily accessible and close to the freeway. Tons of parking.

I didn’t really find anything here that can’t be purchased a little closer to civilization. It also took me an hour and a half to drive here from SLC during rush hour. I could have driven to the Park City outlets in half the time.

I like this place actually and its proximity to businesses nearby and being at traverse which has a bustling community makes the location of the outlets perfect for business but it’s lack of a lot of options coupled with better deals at places like tangers in park city might dampen the business a bit but still a solid option nonetheless and definitely a closer alternative for me instead of having to drive all the way to park city.
They could however start coupons like tangers does and potentially attract a larger customer base
They do have way better food options including proper dine out places like bona vita Italian bistro and Johnny Rockets unlike tangers which has a mini pretzel place.
Another suggestion would be having a proper food court instead of a few scattered options here and there.
This is something I have always wondered in outlet malls as to why no one at least here in Utah (that includes tangers) haven’t thought about making space for food courts as considering the volume of crowds that mill through these places, it does make sense economically

Outdoor malls can be tricky, especially in the winter. This one has a beautiful lobby, several restaurants, and a good variety of outlet stores. Parking isn’t great and there aren’t good directions from the freeway exit. More stores have been added since the last time I was there. They were nice to sponsor a Unilocal elf shopping night for children at the Christmas Box House.

Very little variety in stores, the prices are not «outlet» prices, and every store I went into was dirty (especially GAP).

This is a very pretty and extremely clean outdoor outlet mall. I don’t feel like there were a ton of amazing deals to be had, but they have a nice selection of stores from the inexpensive to semi-​high end.
My teenager wanted to go to the big hot topic here so we stopped by. It was like stepping back in time for high school for me. What a weird experience… shopping in a store with my child that I liked at her age. And nothing has changed at all so why am I not a cool mom? Sigh.
There are lots of kid stores here right next to each other. Carter’s, Gymboree, Osh Kosh and Children’s place are all in a row. Lots of deals there if you come at the right times of year. July is a great month for clearance sales.

Four stars because it’s convenient and has a pretty good variety of shops. Wish it were more high end though. Glad to have J Crew there! I would love even better if it weren’t an outlet mall…

I have now been here twice they have a fantastic polo Banana Republic and Calvin Klein. they actually have a fairly good selection for being an outlet and up to 50% off your entire order if you come the right day.

I love nike outlet! With this being said, I marked this store down a star because it seems to be over priced. It makes sense because it gets a lot more customers compared to the one in South Jordan, which is my favorite one. I do like their prices, especially the weekends when they have deals going on. Overall this is somewhere I regularly shop at :)

In terms of outlets, this is pretty good. There is a good selection of stores, and there are always some great deals going in. I Have shopped at several outlet malls over the years, and by comparison this may a bit on the lite side. But given it is the only game in town, this is pretty good.

I went Black Friday shopping on the Saturday after Black Friday. The stores had the same store wide discounts as on Black Friday and plenty of clothes in all sizes left. The best part was that it wasn’t busy at all.
It was my first time at this mall and I love it more than the outlet stores in Park City!

The savior of the Outlets is the Banana Republic store towards the back. You can get some stellar deals if you stack discounts and keep an eye open for special deals. The Nike store up front will sometimes have good deals on footwear too. I haven’t yet been too impressed with anywhere else though.
The food selection at the Outlets used to be limited to only Johnny Rockets and The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory but they’ve since added a Bona Vita which is a solid option.
The Outlets appear to be expanding though and this could bring in some more quality.

Others have said most everything I’d say. Better than Park City, although a pretty limited selection of stores. Although it’s four stars I don’t really understand outlets. You go and hope they just happen to have something you like on that day. You have to go regularly to find what you want. Hmmm.
The restaurants selection is weak, although the Italian restaurant isn’t bad. I’ve gone there for lunch a couple times. Johnny Rockets, not good.
We still have to go to Park City for Crocs, since it’s pretty much the only game around for Crocs.

Alright folks, here is a big lesson learned so heed my advice. Stop shopping at the Park City outlets and start shopping at Traverse! The PC outlets are a cluster f*ck of bad parking, messy dirty stores, gross bathrooms, and hoards of people. Every time I shop up in PC it looks like someone took a pile of clothes, threw them on the floor, then stuck a 50% off sign next to it.
The Outlets at Traverse Mountain are beautiful. They have plenty of parking, covered out door shopping, and a gorgeous view of the Lehi mountains and Utah lake. According to a few other reviews, their restaurant options aren’t so great. To that I say stop eating at food courts! Food courts are nothing but cheap fast food, dirty tables, and misery. Ok, that was harsh. I realize loads of people like food courts, I just don’t like fast food or the mess that accompanies food courts. But enough with the distractions! Traverse feels like high end outlets and they clearly have put in the money to make this a really nice place to shop. Next time you consider making the trip to PC, jump on I15 and give Traverse a try.

Finally, a decent outlet mall that is reasonably close to where I live. This is very welcome for me as a resident of the Southern end of Salt Lake County, and I’m sure a Godsend for those in UT County too. The only other decent outlets are in Park City, and it’s just way too long of a drive to make and the cost of gas offsets any bargains you might find.
This has a good selection of stores, including American Eagle, Ralph Lauren, Coach, Gap, Eddie Bauer and Tommy Hilfiger to name just a few, but there’s many more than that and overall there’s the usual mix of clothing, footwear, sportswear, perfume, kitchen and luggage stores you would expect at a decent sized outlet mall. It is a good sized mall too, very open and bright. The only downside to that is other than the stores themselves it doesn’t have much protection from the cold winter weather, it has a glass covering over most of it so at least you don’t get rained or snowed on, but it’s an outdoors style mall however you want to look at it.
I found some nice bargains after doing some browsing (and that’s the trick with outlet malls everywhere — taking the time to bargain hunt), and it certainly was a fun experience and somewhere I’ll no doubt be visiting again. It’s right next to Cabella’s which is also somewhat convenient. I’m guessing a visit to one will generally initiate a visit to the other, particularly in light of the fact the outlet mall only has one restaurant currently — Johnny Rockets. I haven’t tried it yet, and am sure I will at some point, but it’s also nice to know there is also the cafeteria in Cabella’s close by as an option also.

I guess this outlet isn’t bad. It’s extremely convenient and close to my work location … and has a nice food court. The whole thing is clean, and generally well organized. The stores are close together so you don’t really have to walk far from one to the other.
Furthermore, there’s plenty of parking. But that’s because … this place is like a ghost town! There’s basically NO ONE here. Like … at all. And the stuff available in the stores, particularly clothing, I find are quite old. Several seasons old, things I saw in stores a long, long time ago making their way here.
I didn’t have a bad time, but this is definitely not my favorite outlets. A few stores of interest, the rest are meh and the stock is only ok. Definitely great if you’re in the area but don’t make it a special trip.
