I hired Henry to install a new grabage disposal and he reponded immeadiately and completed the job that evening. He did a good job and I was pleased

We hired Henry to replace one of our existing toilets with a new, high-​efficiency toilet.
Henry arrived on time, and was very pleasant, and began to take apart my old toilet before replacing it. Halfway through he realized it was improperly affixed to the flooring and said that he couldn’t replace it without possibly damaging the flooring or leaving a hole in the tile that would need to be fixed, so he could either (1) charge me extra to install it and potentially have it look bad, or (2) charge me extra to put it back together as it was. So I paid him to put it back together, even though you would think that someone with plumbing experience would notice that a toilet couldn’t be easily replaced without taking it half apart and charging the customer for that work. Whatever.
So I ask him to replace a different toilet, and he did. But then a few hours later, it started leaking. I called him the next day to fix it and he didn’t want to drive up to my house to fix it until it was convenient for him (3 days later, when he had another job near my house), so we agreed he would show up at 1pm on a Sunday. 1pm comes and goes and no call, so my husband calls and Henry claims that we agreed that he would show up between 5 and 6pm. I was really irritated at that point since he claimed that I did not recall our appointment time (I put it on my calendar during our phone call) and I already wasted half my Sunday day at home waiting for him when we had other plans. So he agreed to come out ASAP to fix the leak.
He arrived around 1:45pm…WITH NO TOOLS. Are you serious? How do you plan to repair anything with no tools??? He then couldn’t find the leak until my husband recorded it on his cellphone and showed him the video. About an hour later, the leak appeared to be fixed (after my husband loaned Henry his tools) and no other problems… so far.
TL;DR: minus one star for charging me for unnecessary work, minus one star for wasting my time and claiming I did not know when my appointment was due to his disorganization; minus one star for showing up without tools — what kind of handyman does that? Do not recommend.

I bought Drywall repair for $ 79.00. When i called for scheduling i spoke directly to Henry and he was very pleasant, however, he told me he could not schedule me at this time and for me to CALL BACK, really, isn’t that a part of his customer service.
I took the time to explain the drywall repair size (12″ x 16″) with an «Orange Peel» texture. Henry said that is fine.
I called back like he said and requested scheduling, however, this time he was unable to schedule me because he was taking some personal time and again, he asked me to CALL BACK, this time i said it was his turn to «call back» and he agreed. He asked me what kind of drywall repair i had and again, i repeated the size of 12″ x 16″ with orange peel texture, Henry said he did not include the drywall material i would have to provide the material, i found this to be ludicrous
Henry called me back weeks later asking if i wanted some drywall work done! Really? Henry is pleasant, however, not very organized.
We again reviewed the scope of drywall work and this time Henry said that «Drywall Texture» was not included!
I ask you this, what drywall repair man expects you to provide your own drywall and then fails to texture the repair?

We set a date of May 30^th, 2011 with a time of 10am. Henry arrived on time and performed the drywall repair in about 25 minutes. He then as a gesture of doing me a favor pulled out a spray can of texture and gave the repair 3 – 5 squirts of very fine, uneven, mismatched texture, wow!

The experience was bad, Henry is pleasant, however, his demonstrated skill level was below handyman levels.
The low price was attractive, however, upon further research i found several companies willing to perform the COMPLETE service in a professional manner at or about the same rate.

Henry did a great job of installing a gas valve for us at a reasonable rate. I would definitely call him again for other handyman-​related tasks.
