Lemon Grove Ice Cream Parlor

Love this Ice Cream. I love Neiderfranks ice cream. I remember they had a store in Chula Vista, but now its right next to my house. This is now my new favorite spot in lemon grove.

Just left here and I had to review. I’ve been wanting to find an old school type ice cream parlor like we have back home in Indiana and haven’t found one until now. The owner was the only one in the shop (probably bc it’s not exactly the ideal day for ice cream) and he was super friendly. We sat inside while we ate and had a nice friendly conversation with him. I never even thought to ask his name but since I live around the corner I can come back whenever. Anyhow, thanks for the awesome service, it’s nice to know people still value personalized customer service :)

Came in here yesterday when I had a craving for a milkshake. The man working there (owner? manager?) was extremely friendly and chatted us up while he went to work making our shakes for us.
I love that the shakes are made right there in front of us, with ingredients that are sweet and simple: milk and your choice of ice cream. He makes them good and thick! I got mine with pistachio almond ice cream and my boyfriend got his with vanilla. There are probably 14 or 15 different flavors to choose from, and I am excited to try more.
The orange spider sounds good, I’ll have to get that next time. :)

After reading the reviews i was very excited to go and try the Mexican chocolate ice cream. however, when we went, there was only your typical flavors, vanilla, chocolate, mint, chocolate chip, and a couple not as typical: rocky road, black walnut, butter pecan.
No Mexican chocolate. the owner said he was unsure to fill the second case with more ice cream choices as he didnt know if more people would come in. i would say yes, because it is a weekend and people want ice cream and choices. but thats my opinion.
the small i ordered was small, a scoop and a quarter, and kind of pricy for it at $ 2.75.
i got black walnut, and though it was creamy and delicious, i didnt get much for the price and not much for originality or variety in the store overall.
i’ll probably head somewhere else next time.

Neiderfranks ice cream is the best. Hours are strange but when I’m craving ice cream, this place is my first choice. Inexpensive and yummy. It’s a small ice cream place folks, not a 5 star restaurant. Powerdown and stuff your face with a Sundae!

Will never go back here. The bizarre looking guy? girl? behind the counter slowly slowly served up our ice cream and then said he? she? was busy doing something else when we tried to pay. We were told to go ahead and eat and then pay. When he? she? finally had time to take our money we were overcharged. When called out on it, we got the whole «oh gosh, silly silly me… I can’t do math and breathe at the same time» routine and offered «free» bottled water and «free» cookies… as in please don’t go on Unilocal and out me to my boss… We were so creeped out we couldn’t wait to get out of there… NEVER again!

Worst place ever. Whoever was working there wasn’t even inside the store. Their friends were inside though and after about 10 min, I left since no one could help us.

Nasty dirty and way over priced. Right when u walk in you feel like running out. The only good thing was the dulce de leche. We got two scoops in a CUP and one milkshake and it was over $ 12 !!! R u kidding me lol p. s. the place smells like roach spray and old cleaning rags !

So many different flavors to try! I can personally vouch for the lemon, red mint chip, Mexican chocolate and black cherry, yum. The server seemed a little… distracted…but she did mention there’s a party room for rent for up to 60 people, which sounded like a neat idea for a birthday party or something. Definitely want to try their fat-​free sorbets next time.

I cam by here after dinner for a scoop of ice cream. I wanted vanilla, but I noticed they had Mexican Chocolate, so I decided to have that since vanilla is easier to come by.
The small cup was $ 2.75. The amount of ice cream was quite generous for the price. (
) The Mexican chocolate was very good. It had that nice light chocolate flavor with the hint of cinnamon. Although it tasted great, the texture was a little grainy. I expected it to be a little smoother.
The ice cream is from Neiderfrank which is a very good quality. They also make old fashion milk shakes and Ice cream cakes. The service was excellent. They were informative and friendly. I will certainly stop by here for another coop when I am in the area.

The best ice cream ever! Try their waffle cones! You will love it!

Great new place! :) Love the acai berry sorbet and blueberry cheesecake icecream. The servers were super friendly too which is a huge plus. Keep this place on your radar!

the ice cream was soooooo goooood and Rita knew everything about ice cream she was like bubba was to shrimp, can’t wait for summer!!! AAAAA++++++

I’ve been to Lemon Grove Ice Cream Parlor on atleast 5 different occasions. The Ice Cream is awesome there! I’m not sure how Ms. Rita does it, but she has A+ rated delicious Ice Cream! As a matter of fact, I’m craving some right now!

Their Ice cream is by far superb! Great customer service and a amazing family owned business! Try the lemon groovy sorbet and well all of the flavors! What an old fashion parlor should be
