So far, so good. I had my first cleaning and they did a bang-​up job. My old dentist had more modern equipment but I can’t say that they got my teeth any cleaner. I liked that he was able to take pictures of my cavities and show them to me. My old dentist would point at something in an xray and claim it was a cavity. I’m not trained to read x-​rays, so I had no idea. He could clearly show me that there was a hole in my tooth.
My only issue is that they’re not on my PPO plan, so it won’t cover everything 100%.

I have been going to Dr. Sulzer for eight years and my wife has been going since she was a child. We started taking our son when he turned three. He does a great job and is very personable. He is great with our son who is now five. My son has never been afraid to go to the dentist. His assistant is very nice and very competent. His receptionist is very sweet and between Dr Sulzer and her, they work well with insurance companies. His prices are very reasonable.

Dr. Sulzer is one of the best dentists I’ve ever known. He was my daughters first dentist as well as many of my friends kids too. I have always been a white knuckle dentist goer, but not with Dr. Sulzer. Simply the best!!!

Chop shop dentistry! If you are broke and need your teeth pulled, this is your dentist! Otherwise, he is an insurance shopping dentist that loves to correct his help and make you feel like an incompetent assistant is getting ready to be in your mouth! (He is usually completely correct — he employs «inexpensive» help.)
You feel so confident when every move the assistant makes is corrected by the doctor. Every time I think he is just being mean, she makes me deep throat the damn sucking tube! When I need to spit blood in a cleaning — something is wrong!
I can’t stress enough how bad I think this practice is! You do realize that people, including doctors, graduate with a C– right? Pretty sure I found one!

Dr. Sulzer is an amazing dentist. His office is very welcoming and helpful. No one likes going to the dentist but Dr. Sulzer is such a personable Dr. that he eases your nerves on anything from a routine cleaning to having to perform additional work.
He has a wealth of knowledge on care and provides great tips for at home practice for better dental care. I highly recommend going to Lemon Grove Dental Care, it is definitely worth the drive!

Dr. Sulzer is a GRRRRREAT Dentist! He’s personable, up-​to-​date, and as cost-​effective as possible. His office takes multiples kinds of dental insurance, and if you don’t have insurance, he’ll work with you. His admin assistant is smart, pleasant, and always willing to work you in if you need it! I’m not especially scared of dentists, but I have had a few in my life that I didn’t like… Dr. Sulzer has none of the bad habits and all of the good ones. His office is clean and he has all the new-​fangled gizmos like pictures and sonic cleaning; don’t be concerned by the old strip mall in Lemon Grove where he’s located. Think of it this way: his lower overhead lets him keep his prices low! if you’er looking for a dentist in the La Mesa/​Lemon Grove area, check him out! In fact, if you’re further away, you still might think the trip well worth a couple of extra miles!
