It’s better than Krispy Kreme(It’s not so hard to make a better doughnut than KK) And Lamars has them beat. But when you need a decent doughnut, they’re ok. And yes as Tiger mentioned, at $ 7 a doze, it’s a great price.

This place just opened up in the former Steve’s Donuts which used to be a Lamar’s(mmm chocolate cake donut). I guess it’s destined to always be a donut shop. They’ve spiffed the place up some since it was Steve’s and they’re much more friendly than Steve’s ever was. This weekend for their grand opening everything is half price, but going forward the prices aren’t that special. The donuts are alright, better ones can certainly be had. My apple fritter seemed to be over fried a little and was very nearly crunchy. The kids’ donuts had pink frosting and sprinkles so they absolutely loved them. My wife had something called a butterhorn and it, too, was just okay. They could probably use some labels in front of their donuts so you know what everything is because there’s some fine looking donuts in the place. The filled donuts use pudding instead of crème which my wife doesn’t appreciate but if that’s your preference Paradise might be for you. They also have sausage rolls and fried pies to please the meat and fruit breakfast crowd. We’ll probably give the place another shot once they’ve got their sealegs under them, but I don’t think it’s a place that will be a destination. It’s much more likely to be the place to get a donut that’s closest to where you are. With all the office parks in the area it will do just fine just being average.
