Cut Time Coffee

Everything about this place screeeams high schooler– I love it! The concept is adorable and I hope it thrives. The newspaper cut out tells you the story of how a 17 yr old was the brainchild for this makeshift coffee shop in a vacant wing of the Olde Heritage Tavern.
Loves: the concept, the hours, the décor, the staff and that it reeks of high school. They have some art displayed from local artists (which is code for other high school students– even more reason to love it!). To top it off the café is overflowing with tidbits of humor from the counter to the bathroom!
However, just like with most things in high school you need to have a lot of patience. There was one girl working the counter and she did an excellent job juggling the customers by herself. And given that she was by herself, our latte and cappuccino didn’t take all that long.
The espresso drinks we had were on the weaker side (not sure if it was a high milk ratio, not enough beans, or-​??). I hope they fix this because they’ve got potential! I was a bit bummed that on a hot summer day they didn’t have cold brew. They did have iced coffee but my coffee palate has become a bit snobby I guess.
I am intentionally being loose with my stars on this one, it’s really more like 3.5 but factoring the playfulness, the humor and the art it rounds up to a 4. Plus they get a huge A for effort and it’s such a fun little shop to visit. Hopefully they step it up with the espresso drinks.
