Glad Rags

I love Glad Rags! The clothing is always sumptuous and the prices are very reasonable. The proprietor, Lynn West, is an easy going person who has great suggestions but doesn’t push at all. My closet is much improved!

I have been going to Glad Rags for 30 YEARS. Every year, I can’t wait till they open and it is one of my favorite places in the world to shop. Yes, the prices are boutique prices, but the clothing is high quality and truly unique — the pieces I get at Glad Rags are always my favorites, and people always ask where I got them. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere in the store is so much fun. My Mom, my aunt and I go shopping there together and have the best time. It is a fabulous place!

Cheaply made clothes at a very high price. It’s all image. They have an image. And you should hear what they say about customers when they leave the store.

Hippy-​dippy type clothing at boutique prices.

Lets just say that my mother and I have been FRIENDS of the store for over ten years; Lynn and Caroline are two wonderful human beings who not only explore the creativity of clothing but the creativity of friendship as well. When looking through the array of designs offered, a conversation evolves naturally, and in the end a friendship is made. No one ever leaves the store feeling as though one has over paid or made a purchase that was is not worth while. You will KEEP on GOING BACK for more. Just walk on in and you will find a world of fun and friendship through the doors of GLAD RAGS.

this is a typical super expensive boutique in Lenox. They have weird random clothing that I can’t really imagine people wearing and it’s all pretty expensive. so for that they get 2 stars. they get another star for staff, they are all very nice, not pushy and not boutique-​y either. you know, that condescending «are you really wealthy enough to be in here» attitude. They are nice and they talked to me about my fourth star reason for shopping here.
Hanky Panky thongs. yes indeed, Glad Rags sells the worlds best thong. Look, i don’t know how they can be so comfortable and at the same time ‘one size fits all’ but they are and i don’t question it. sure you could go over to saks and get the exact same thong, and hell, they have an enviable color wheel of options. but Glad Rags sells Hanky Panky for $ 16 where every other retailer in MA sells them for $ 18.
i’m probably not conveying my sheer unadulterated joy in being able to by ridiculously expensive underwear for $ 2 cheaper in an obscure Western Mass boutique, or convincing you to make the drive out there. If you are in the area, and you love fancy panties, hit up Glad Rags. you’ll be sticking it to Saks and looking hot while you do it.
