Dr. Stein received his medical degree in 1979 from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed his ophthalmology residency at Brookdale University Hospital & Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 1983. He became Board Certified in Ophthalmology in 1985.

Dr. Stein specializes in LASIK Laser Vision Correction, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma Treatment, and Diabetic Eye Disease. He has performed well over 15,000 various microsurgical procedures in his career. He has performed refractive surgery for over 25 years and introduced the Philadelphia/​New Jersey area to LADARVision® for both LASIK and PRK. Dr. Stein is proud to be one of the first to offer LADARWave™ Custom Cornea® LASIK in this area. He is also skilled in the bladeless ‘all-​laser LASIK’ procedure. Dr. Stein is proficient in ReZoom™, ReSTOR®, and Crystalens® multifocal implant lenses for those who depend on bifocals.
