My children ordered flowers to be delivered for Mother’s Day and received email confirmation that they were delivered. The basket of flowers was delivered after Mother’s Day and all of the flowers DIED 2 days later even after I added more water to the basket. The florist did not respond to our daughter’s many calls and emails about delivery of the flowers.

My friend was in the hospital for surgery, and was going to be discharged the following morning. Didn’t know about it until around 3:30, and by that time, none of the online flower sellers were able to deliver the same day. Called a few local florists, and they said the same thing, except for Silk and Sands. I contacted them at a little after 4, and they were able to put an arrangement together in the very last minute and deliver it. The arrangement was beautiful and my friend was in tears.

While the flowers delivered for our wedding in Rehoboth Beach were beautiful, I cannot recommend this company because they were more than two hours late delivering them. The owner left my mom a voice mail confirming the 2:30 delivery time, since we planned for wedding photos before our ceremony. I spoke to the owner/​manager at almost 3 p.m., and she hadn’t even left Lewes yet. We had to rearrange the plan for photos because she did not honor her end of the deal. The flowers for the wedding were delivered to me and the bridal party less than 20 minutes before the 5 p.m. ceremony. When I called after the wedding to ask for a partial refund after the fact (my mom paid in advance to reduce the exchange of checks on our wedding day), the owner/​manager offered us a $ 100 credit for future orders. I did not see this as acceptable, and will no longer use this florist or recommend them to others.
Silk and Sands lost a long-​time loyal customer with this unacceptable experience.
I recommend brides at the beach in Delaware look elsewhere for their floral needs.
