They were good as commerce bank but they really suck I spoke to a woman who would not provide her last name (odd) and explained that Norton anti virus debited my account illegally and this caused an overdraft Norton is issuing a refund but TD bank will not remove the $ 35.00 overdraft fee

Last year I needed to close my CDs with TD Bank’s Merrick, NY office and was charged over $ 1,700 (policy is a 6 — 9 month penalty) for that privilege when my other bank, recognizing the unique circumstances had a policy of no charge. For this past year, I have attempted to obtain written documentation that I had agreed to this and the bank has been unable to provide this proof to me. I called attention to this at the Branch, Regional VP level as well as their executive office. I asked the U. S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to intervene and TD Bank remains unable to produce the documentation. I agreed with their Regional VP for a settlement to pay 90 days penalty, resulting in a refund to me of $ 850.00. Despite that agreement and my several uncontested reminders, TD remains unable to produce the documentation or to honor its agreement with me.

Customer Service over the telephone is horrendous. They are not the MOST CONVENIENT Bank. When a medical condition caused a family member to be in the hospital a call was made to them to ask for an extension on a car loan… you get the run around and never the same answer and their employees cannot control an irate customer (I used no Swear words but was upset) because of their lack of people skills and inconsistencies. If I ever buy another car I will make sure to stay away from them for financing. My other car loan company is an online company and when I called them to ask for an extension there was no problem and as a matter of fact gave me options. I don’t care that TD Bank is open all kinds of hours they need to get their employees to handle situations that are not always pleasant.
