Health Source of Highland Village

I have been going to HealthSource of Highland Village for about a month now. 4 weeks ago I was having severe low back pain and burning sensations running down the back of legs and I have been dealing with feminine issues for over a year. The first appointment was a consult with an x-​ray which showed me the root of my issues. I have been receiving adjustments from Dr. T and doing rehab with Dr. Kyle consistently. In such a short period of time my body has responded and is definitely getting better. My low back isn’t in gnarly burning pain anymore and I can honestly say that my womb/​reproductive organs don’t feel so off. Dr. T and Dr. Kyle really know what they are doing. This is coming from a massage therapist, I don’t just let anyone do bodywork on me, but together they’re pretty great team. My spine and my womb thank you.

Dr. T, Dr. Kyle & the entire staff are AMAZING!!! After years of suffering I am well on the road to recovery!!! They are concerned about your individual problem, and do not try to put you into a cookie cutter solution. You are also not cornered into anything you do not want to do, or cannot afford to do! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS TYPE OF CHIROPRACTIC OFFICE FOR YEARS!!!

I love this place! True, individualized health care designed specifically for the needs of each person to ultimately live a healthy and thriving life! Boo yah! That’s what I’m talking about! Amazing & caring staff to boot! Dr.“T”, Dr. «Kyle» and Tessa have a beautiful dynamic together that creates a peaceful place to be! They care. They love!

Dr. T, Dr. Kylie & Tessa are all great — we have loved our time here and really do recommend them! They are not only great with me, but with my kiddos too :)

I had really horrible neck pain that radiated down my shoulder and left arm, and caused my thumb to be numb. Normally I try my best not to go to the doctor and just tough it out. This pain was so bad and progressively getting worse that I had no choice but to visit a doctor.
After a couple of visits, pain shots, and a plethora of pain medications the pain did not go away. I was diagnosed with a pinched/​compressed nerve but all the pain meds did was make me loopy and masked the actual problem.
I tried going and getting a nerve decompression massage which helped for about a day then the pain returned worse than it was before. At this point I had been living with this pain for almost two months.
I did some research to try some home remedies and most sites told me that it should go away in a couple of weeks. It had been 8 weeks so I did not put too much stock into that.
I read on one site that non-​surgical spinal decompression could possibly give me some relief or a visit to a chiropractor. I am not really a believer in chiropractic practices so I really didn’t pay a lot of attention to it.
A few days later I got an advertising email that gave me a special deal on an examination and a spinal decompression at a chiropractic office near me. I went not really expecting much but had no real other options besides surgery.
I met Dr. T, she explained everything to me, she proceeded with her examination, gave me an adjustment (which I had never had before), then they strapped me to this spinal decompression machine. I came back the next day and received the same treatment.
The pain that I had been living with for 2 months which was a 9 on a scale of 10 had decreased slightly after only a couple of visits. After a couple more visits my pain went down to about a 5. After a couple more visits my pain was gone and my thumb finally had feeling again.
I explained to Dr. T that I did not really put a lot of faith in what she does and that I was there as a last option before surgery. She explained that I didn’t have to believe in what she did for it to work, turns out she was right.
My only regret is that I didn’t go to see her sooner.

I just began my wellness phase of my treatment. I had never seen a chiropractor and I am 63 years old! Being afraid of them and believing that they were only «moneygrabbers» kept me from ever seeking treatment from that field. Having said that, I can’t say how any others are, but I will say that Dr. Thornton is incredible! She has a treatment plan that I was able to follow right on schedule and I am «well»! Not really, but I am good! Pain free anyway, for most of the time! I must say that Zach performed the manual therapy and exercises, as well as the decompression with great knowledge and caring. He helped me greatly to get to this point. If you want to go to someone who really cares, this is the place for you, but you’d better hurry because they are really busy! From the time you are greeted by Jena at the front door, you will feel welcome… I love me some Dr. T! xoxo

Today was my first adjustment by Doctor T. I was terrified of the chiropractor, but she’s so gentle and explains everything. It’s 10 min to 9pm and she just called to check up on me to see how I felt. It was so awesome! I HIGHLY recommend her!

I really miss my Dr. T. I mean it; I really do, 3 times a week! She used to work at the chiropractic office that I go to, here in California. Even though she is relatively new to practice in the chiropractic field, she does a fabulous job. She is a real whiz kid, a prodigy, and she often exceeds the skills of other doctors with more time in practice and more experience. Case in point — I now go to the remaining doctor in Dr. T’s old practice and it took her months and months just to get my adjustments right. I know that it must have been really annoying to be on the receiving end of that, but I found that I had to keep saying, «Dr. T used to do this, Dr. T used to do that.» Dr. Thornton had managed to get rid of three numb fingers in my left hand (a very BAD thing for a technician — being caused by my neck) and a knife-​like pain in my left shoulder that had been there for three years. The shoulder is starting to act up more often now that she is not here.
When I call Dr. T a whiz kid, I really do mean it. I remember being very impressed with the fact that she completed the fourth year of her education with not one, but TWO Bachelor’s Degrees — a DUAL MAJOR in Anatomy and Health & Wellness.
But the most impressive thing about Dr. Nikki Thornton is that she has a lot of empathy, which is a rare thing to find in doctors these days, and all the education in the world cannot CREATE empathy. It is an attribute that all of the best doctors in the world possess. Dr. T has this in spades and she has my highest recommendation. You Texans should count yourselves lucky that she has returned to your area. We sure do miss her here in California!
