Suggins… I think Suggins may be my most frequented restaurant ever? My boyfriend and I go at least once a week-​we love Suggins! there is something for whatever type of «food mood» you are in. Tonight I decided on the Chicken Club Sandwich with a baked potato. Everything I’ve had there I like! The bacon cheese fries are hard to resist. or spicy buffalo chicken fingers. The list goes on! Stop by the best place in Chevy Chase

We have used the catering option several times at work and it’s always a big hit. We have ordered salad and potato bars as well as other meal options and apps and everyone is always pleased. Also they give you lots of food and every condiment you can imagine to accompany your meal.

A Chevy Chase staple, Suggins is my go-​to for comfort food. Being from Lexington, I grew up going to Suggins & have probably ordered most things on the menu– their hot brown sandwich is one of my favorites along with the chicken finger salad. Friendly servers who have worked there for years & great southern food make for a restaurant with plenty of regulars.
This particular trip to Suggins, I went to watch the UK game with friends for dinner– I ordered one of their specials, shrimp & grits, and it did not disappoint.

Hands down BEST Salmon in Lexington; who would have thought!!! Totally a neighborhood local fav/​food specials are always to die for… And this health but will splurge on the chicken livers — OMG that good! Prices are WAY below quality of food! Wine is ALWAYS poured to the top of glass … And leftovers are ALWAYS eaten next day … Why it’s a neighborhood favorite in Chevy Chase !

Total gem! Family friendly, great for a get together or drinks with friends! Our whole table was happy with their meals!

Foods great and reasonably priced. Highly recommend their chicken fingers and honey mustard.

Decent local hangout. Food good but nothing special. Good for families but not someolace I will return to.

Came here for a friends birthday dinner the other night. This place is always packed around dinner time! So get here early!
We ordered appetizers– loaded fries and beer cheese. The loaded fries were delicious! Cheesy with bacon bits! the beer cheese was good too… Very spicy!
I got the AP suggins chicken plate blackened. The chicken was very tender and moist. The seasoning was a little too salty but still really good! For dessert we had the lemon cake, which was phenomenal. Highly recommend the cake.
Will be back again to try more entrees!!!

On the surface, this place looks pretty ho-​hum. It reminds me of any generic restaurant with a bar and some booths set around. The menu didn’t seem like anything spectacular and there weren’t very many people there at lunchtime when I dropped in today. I ordered a burger with cheddar and an onion ring on top and a side of fries. I wasn’t expecting too much, but I was proven wrong! The burger came out perfectly medium and with a fresh tomato and slice of lettuce. The bun itself was big and fluffy and toasted just right. It was just the right amount of food to leave me satisfied and full. My wife and I both ate for about $ 16. A great place with great prices! I’d definitely come back here for a bite whenever I was over in this area of time. Also, our server Vicki was super. She popped in with our orders and our drinks exactly when needed and noticed from two tables over my ketchup bottle was empty when I went to squeeze it. I guess I just got used to being served by disaffected twenty-​somethings and was impressed by someone who just did everything the way it should be. Thanks Vicki!

This is a decent local hangout with a variety of comfort foods. I was there to try the Western Burger for Lexington’s Burger Week. Not bad, not bad at all!

It’s burger week in Lexington! After reviewing all of the options, my daughter and I decided to try AP Suggins for lunch. The atmosphere seemed like a pub for locals. The inside of the restaurant didn’t wow us; however, our burger was great! My daughter gave the burger a 10 out of 10!

Love the food and the relaxed family atmosphere. Perfect place to take the kids for dinner or to grab a bite to eat after a baseball or soccer game. Great French Dip!

We decided to try this based on some of the Unilocal reviews. To be flat out honest, I was not impressed, at all. The food, while not terrible, was nothing spectacular. I got the Santa Fe chicken sandwich was good but no flavor at all, I actually dipped it in ketchup. My husband got the Spicy Cajun chicken sandwich and he said it was good and he liked the rub. We had the banana peppers to start and they were served with cocktail sauce which we thought was strange. The spot is an old establishment and it has its regulars! I won’t be returning because the food was just blah

Always delicious! The best chicken fingers in Lexington, especially with buffalo sauce. The service is great and the local feel is a nice touch

There wasn’t really anything that disappointed me about this place but nothing that impressed me either. A good place to go grab a burger, it was tasty and fairly cheap. I got a burger and the nachos supreme appetizer. We ordered queso with the nachos and the waitress forgot to bring it. Probably because she didn’t write down our order. We never asked, because it was enough food anyway. Our waitress seemed in a huge hurry and not extremely friendly. She was nice at the end when she brought our check back. We were charged for a drink we didn’t order and she took it off the bill and explained that when she brought our receipt.

Great service, generous pours on the wine (can’t beat that) and everything ordered was terrific. Cute and cozy neighborhood atmosphere!

Good food; good service. The bar area is noisy, but the dining room area is quieter. I ordered a bean burrito and it was good. Roy ordered a hamburger. He said it was very, very good! The grandkids had macaroni & cheese and FRESH mixed fruit. A great neighborhood place.

On of Lexington’s beat local restaurants. Great food, great staff and very comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend their chicken Fingers, Beer Cheese burger or really anything on the menu.

Relaxed, pub-​style dining. Friendly bartenders (heavy pours) and servers. A great place to eat and drink. As a local, I meet someone I know nearly every time I dine here. The value for the money cannot be beat by any chain restaurant. The wall eyed

At the recommendation of my fellow Unilocalers, I finally tried this place. At first impression, I loved the atmosphere, probably because I prefer a pub like atmosphere over fine dining. See, you learn something new about me with each review. Not that I don’t enjoy, fine dining, sometimes I just want to wear my jeans and a sweatshirt and not feel out of place at where I choose to eat.
It was lunch time, but the menu didn’t indicate any lunch specials. As we were leaving, I noticed a «lunch special board», guess I should have asked the waitress if they had lunch specials. I wasn’t feeling very hungry though, after feasting the night before at Lexington’s greatest ever Unilocal event… so I just ordered cheese fries. If you’ve ever wondered what McDonald’s fries would taste like served as cheese fries, here you can experience that because their fries taste similar to McDonalds. I love me some McDonalds crack fries. Shoot, now I am hungry! The menu had a lot of options that I will enjoy the next time that I go… hungry.
Here is why the missing star, the service was a bit slow. I heard the people at the table behind us complaining about it. All in all, I would go back for sure.
