History

Established in 2009.

Animated Canvas Custom Tattoo was founded by Scot «Spyder» Kumo in the fall of 1996 in Riverside CA, setting the standard for professionalism in tattooing in the Inland Empire.

In the fall of 2007, Animated Canvas relocated and settled in Columbia SC and set the standard for cleanliness, professionalism and artistic talent in the mid-​lands, quickly becoming known as «Best of Columbia». Animated Canvas has thus far been awarded «Best of Columbia» for five of the last seven years.

In the summer of 2009, Animated Canvas, getting ever busier, expanded to Lexington SC. Providing their client base with even more of the best artistic talent in the South Carolina

Business Owner

Owner/​Operator of Animated Canvas Custom Tattoo, brought his unique skills to Columbia in 2007. His career has spanned over 30 years and breached 5 continents thus far. Initially self-​taught, Spyder did an apprenticeship with Adam West of Panama City FL and further with Mr Buzz of Gulfport MS. Spyder has collected dozens of awards and has been featured in international publications for the last three decades. Spyder is well versed in all styles of tattooing, specializes in realistic black & grey and excels with cover-​ups. If Spyder cant do it … you don’t want it
