Went for the weekday mass. As a Baptist who is a fan of high liturgical services, I enjoy going to mass when I can. Aside from their sweet but sad a Capella singing of «Christ The Lord is risen today,» the service was a blessing.
I crossed my arms during Eucharist and received a meaningful blessing. The priest handled the situation well.
I will be back, for sure.

Great looking Cathedral and just south of Downtown Lexington.
Christ the King Parish was established in the Diocese of Covington on July 22, 1945.
The parish moved to its current site on May 12, 1946.
Christ the King School was opened in 1951 and the Sisters of Divine Providence were the initial teachers.
The present church and rectory was built in the Modern architectural style from 1965 – 1967 for $ 1.5 million.
On January 14, 1988 Blessed John Paul II established the Diocese of Lexington and Christ the King became the cathedral for the new diocese.
The Cathedral Center was added to the parish facilities in 1992.
