It’s worth taking a trip behind the library to see this huge mural celebrating Kentucky-born President Abraham Lincoln. The colors are delightfully psychedelic without being disrespectful — the artist is clearly very talented. It looks a darn sight better than the plain brick wall that was there previously. If you go, be sure to have someone stand back and snap a pic of you standing under Lincoln’s right foot. It will look like he’s stepping on you. It’s a rite of passage.

A huge psychedelic Lincoln mural that is hidden from the main street view. To find it, go to the Public Library and walk along the back driveway of the library’s parking lot. It looks cool in the daytime because it’s so colorful and wild colors for our president. Great photo op for tourists!

Ok Lexington, this is a must see. Brazilian artist Eduardo and his team are apparently scheduled to finish this street art mural by Monday November 11th… so if you’re reading this in the before then, head out to Water or Vine Street and watch history in the making.
