I’m a huge fan of FPA of Lex. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Joe Gerhardstein for about thirty years and would continue to be his patient if he relocated his practice 100 miles away, so that figures heavily into my opinion of the practice as a whole. Other than him, it seems well organized, their website works pretty well. They are proactive with frequent newsletters, television programming, and such. They are efficient and responsive when its necessary to coordinate with my pharmacy. They take blood a couple of times each year and the phlebotomist is conveniently located in-house. Normally at this point, I’d express some misgiving about their location in Hamburg Place(because it’s near nothing that I do), but they’re presently in the process of opening a second office about five minutes from my office, so I couldn’t be more excited about that. If you’re considering a new family practice provider, I cannot recommend anyone more highly.

Throughout the years I have been a patient here(8 years) I have come to conclusion that they herd you in and out. My chart has not been correctly updated, medications that I am no longer taking been marked inactive. My primary is normally pretty busy and being seen same day when sick is nearly impossible. I can get same day appts but with other Drs and frankly they seem to just want to medicate. The front and back office staff are no longer friendly. I checked out last time and yes, I was sick, no I did not cough or sneeze on her but when I went to hand my check out paperwork to her, she grabbed it, immediately sanitized her hands and rolled her eyes while exhaling. That was the last straw. I found a new PCP at Lexington Clinic Andover. Dr. Hamilton and the staff so far are fantastic.

Very inefficient place. It took forever to find one paper. Very bad communication. The doctor say one thing and employees say something different

I have been a pt of Dr. Foxx for years but he was out on friday. I saw Dr. Dubocq and he was excellent. Would highly recommend him.

I really love this place and the nurse practitioner I see. Cheryl Lewis is great. Had to have Bloodwork done last week. She calls me personally to let me know the results 2 days before thanksgiving. I had to have an u/s done on my thyroid Monday and she called me at 8:30 Tuesday night to let me know the results. Again, she called me herself. Not a nurse or office staff. She was going to be out of the office for the test of the week and wanted to let me know the results. I say that is going above and beyond! It’s also nice that they have extended hours mon –thurs now.

I love this office. I usually only see one particular doctor but if I’m sick and she’s not in it is never a problem to get right in to see another doctor. Convenient location in Hamburg.
