Really great dentist, knows what he’s talking about and is very personable. All his hygenists are very kind as well. I recommend his office to everyone! Keep up the good work!

Dr. Hadar is an amazing dentist. I have been traveling from NYC to Boston for over 10 years. I’ve had everything from teeth cleanings to crowns and recently veneers on my front teeth done at his office. The customer service is terrific, the staff is always so welcoming and kind. I love their modern «paperless» office, email and text communications. Although I live 200 miles away, the drive is worth the amazing quality of work.

I received an e-​mail on Monday reminding me of my dental appointment with Dr. Hadar for Wednesday at 2 pm. I double checked my calendar and sure enough I already had it in there. Yesterday (Tuesday) I get a voice mail from Shannon saying «His this is Shannon calling from Dr. Hadar’s office confirming your appointment at 3 and 3:30 for (mumble mumble).»
I listen to the voice mail 4 times and ask colleagues to interpret the ‘mumble mumble’ but to no avail. I call Shannon back saying I’m calling to verify this 3 pm appointment.
Me: Hi just calling to verify this appointment is at 3 and not at 2?
Shannon: No it’s at 3 pm.
Me: Are you sure, b/​c my calendar says 2 and e-​mail says 2, but you’re saying 3.
Shannon: No it’s 3, that’s strange. I don’t know why the system is doing that.
Me: What is this appointment at 3:30 for again, I don’t remember.
Shannon: Oh that’s for *mumble mumble*.
Me: Excuse me?
Shannon: Hold.
(time passes) Shannon: Disregard that, you’re set for 3 tomorrow.
Me: You sure about that?
Shannon: Yep.
Me: Ok…
So it’s Wednesday and the phone rings at 2:22.
Me: Hello?
Woman: Hi this is _​_​_​from Dr. Haddar’s office you had an appointment today at 2.
(I don’t remember her name because at this point I lose it)
Me: Are you fucking kidding me?
Her: Sir?
Me: Are you fucking serious? I had this appointment in my calendar for 2, your computer e-​mailed me for 2 and the person yesterday said it was at 3.
Her: It’s ok you can still…
Me: NO! What the fuck? I asked her three fucking times if she was sure it’s at 3 and she said yes.
Her: But.
Me: I’m not putting up with this bullshit anymore. *I hang up*
Nobody ever called me back and I’m still wondering what the mumble mumble was.

A wonderful experience every time I go to see Dr Hadar. His staff is professional and courteous, and I’m hardly ever left waiting more than 5 minutes. He is everything a dentist should be, quite unlike my previous dentist in Beverly. I feel very confident recommending him to my friends.

I recently had my very long overdue cleaning done by Michelle at Dr. Hadar’s office, Michelle was extremely gentle and very through. I would highly recommend booking her for your general cleaning.

I really can’t say enough good things about Dr. Hadar and his staff. I started going to his office about 4 or 5 years ago after trying several different dental professionals and dental school in the Greater Boston area. I was desperately in need of multiple tooth implants and bone grafting. My case was so severe that some dental professionals actually turned it down. Other dentists wanted to do a quick fix/​fast cash job that would have left me in worse shape, but not Dr. Hadar. He and his referral team knew that my case needed to be done carefully and done right. He referred me to excellent specialists and patiently worked with them closely on my case for a period of a few years until they were able to give me a smile that is healthy, strong, and attractive. I was in so much pain with my teeth when I started with Dr. Hadar and now I have no pain and a renewed confidence in my smile. Dr. Hadar and his staff are kind and gentle. Also, I’m a perfectionist and so is Dr. Hadar. He allowed me to be picky about every little step until I was fully satisfied with the results and I really am! I am so grateful to them!
I also really love their electronic scheduling and feedback system. You get an appointment reminder email/​text several days before your appointment and then again on the day of the appointment. After each appointment, you receive an email requesting feedback on the service. Dr. Hadar’s team is committed to customer service and excellence!

Good dentist, but hold on to your wallet! I was quoted over the phone $ 90 to re-​cement a crown. When I checked out, the bill was $ 145, inc. $ 75 for a «Limited oral evaluation» (which meant he poked around in my mouth for 90 seconds before putting the crown back in). Now, doesn’t he always do that when re-​cementing a crown? So why wasn’t I just quoted that price?
On the way out, I was also quoted a price of $ 319 for a cleaning (!?). This included the «full mouth x-​rays», which I was told are MANDATORY. For anyone who doesn’t know, this are x-​rays of EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL TOOTH, not the «bite wing» x-​rays that most dentists give.
For anyone who doesn’t know, almost no one needs x-​rays of EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL TOOTH, unless there’s something going horribly wrong in your entire mouth, but I know there are some dentists out there who try to force it on people.
Oh, & he’d already told me that my teeth looked fine (which I pretty much knew, being obsessive about home dental care), so why should I be forced to have x-​rays of EVERY SINGLE TOOTH??? Sorry if I’m ranting, but $ 319 for a cleaning? That includes stuff you don’t need, or want? And you don’t have a choice!!!

He may be good, but you’ll definitely pay a premium. You will get the most expensive fillings and the highest cost work done, sometimes without consultation. Be prepared to open your wallet along with your mouth. We are a military family on a budget, and we left ant went elsewhere. The family dentist we had in Colorado Springs blew this one away.

Ben Hadar is as good as it gets if you are looking for a qualified compassionate dentist.
