I’ve been here twice since it’s close proximity to where I live. it’s good if you need a quick fix of Asian fusion food, but it’s not the best by far. They’re very sauce-heavy on their wok-tossed dishes and while I don’t think they use MSG, the food can be quite salty. My first impression of the place on my first visit was that it is modeled like Pei Wei. The store structure and menu are pretty similar. I ordered the I Ching Risqué the first time I visited and the flavors were decent, but nothing out-of-this-world. It came in a mildly spicy sweet chili sauce. The second time I ordered the Korean Bibimbap. I had very high hopes for it but upon receipt I was sorely disappointed. It was nothing like the authentic bibimbap. The entire dish was swimming in a peppery sauce(black pepper, as opposed to a drizzle of Korean gochujang). The sauce was very, very salty and peppery(almost inedible— I had to scrape the sauce off the meat and veggies to eat them). It also came with tomatoes, which isn’t an ingredient in authentic bibimbap either. The«rice cake» was just plain rice, nothing special. I’d say it’s not a very good rendition of the real deal. I’m willing to try this place again but only out of convenience.

Causal and fast. Delicious and relaxing. The food has always been a favorite of mine. This is best Thai salad ever. The citrus lime peppery dressing is to die for. Never have I eaten it with anything other than beef, but it’s the best in my opinion. Hehe Now, for the tea. Don’t miss the plum passion iced tea.

This is a great place to meet with friends and hang out in a casual atmosphere. The hot and sour soup is comfort food. I also got the Dan Dan noodles and enjoyed them very much. We will definitely be back.

I’ve now been to this restaurant four times and could see myself becoming a «regular» if it just weren’t located so far away from the places I frequent. When I do find an occasion to get there, it’s always a good thing. On the most recent trip, I talked with the manager and wondered whether it’s reasonable to find entrees that feature more stir fried vegetables and less rice(not that I dislike the rice, but there are times I need to hold down the calorie count). He could not have been more accommodating. His response was, «The answer is ‘yes’! What do you want?», making it clear that I only need to ask for what I want if I don’t find it on the menu. Nice décor; excellent service; good food.

I’ve been here quite a few times, and some of their menu items are pretty good and you get a good amount of food… but…the bibimbap. The bibimbap ain’t bibimbap. The flavor is as far as you can get from the Korean dish. Way too salty, the seasonings were off, too much black pepper, just didn’t feel like taking another bite. If you really want some awesome Korean food and a lava bowl filled with bibimbap, go to arirang garden on Richmond road, definitely worth it over this place.

I wanted to love it. It is close to my house and very convenient. I can’t, though. My husband had the crispy shrimp and calamari. The Thai chili sauce tastes straight out of a bottle. It was super sweet and very syrupy — totally had jarred HFCS. I ordered the Thai coconut curry. It was so spicy that I could not taste the flavors (and I like heat!!). To make matters worse, I kept finding very hard, tough, dried pieces of either bamboo shoots or coconut in between my teeth for the rest of the evening. We are disappointed and probably won’t be back.

We love this place!!! The food is always tasty with a good variety! My go-to favorite was the drunken noodles, then came the Thai chicken curry(warm spicy heat), now I recommend the Kung Pao. They have fried, white or brown rice. I always get the brown rice. There is a short list of restaurants I’ll frequent with my family because we don’t eat deep fried and prefer«real» food. This is definitely on the good list. Go check them out!

Lo Mein was very bland and the crab wontons tasted very crabby(for lack of a better word). Very displeased with my lunch here

There are few places I’ve been where I felt the urge to write a bad review. iChing was one such place. We ordered the bi bim bop and the shrimp and calamari dishes. The bi bim bop was simply a spicy tomato soup with beef atop a bed of burnt rice and the shrimp and calamari was a fried concoction drenched with high fructose corn syrup and sugar. They call themselves«Asian Fusion,» and unless fusion means«reheated from a box,» iChing was not even close to meeting my lowest expectation when it comes to the quality of food. I would’ve just picked up a box of Great Value frozen Chinese chicken if I wanted what I had at iChing.

Copy of Pei Wei’s. Like often happens, the copy is not as good as the original. Service was fast and the staff friendly. The restaurant was very clean. I ordered lo mein. Plenty of beef carrots and onions in the dish. Needs some bamboo shoots and bean sprouts though. Also fresher vegetables would help the flavor. Food was not bad but more suited for a buffet.

Not good. Had beef with broccoli Mongolian with fried rice. Brown sauce was way too rich and way too much of it. Fried rice was dry. None of the food tasted very fresh. First time here, maybe other dishes are better.

Everything is fresh and made to order. I’m a big fan of Yim’s Crispy Shrimp & Calamari :) the Tofu & Veggie Fried Rice is perfect for lunch! Yum!

Met the owner keven he was very nice, went on a recommendation from my sister and wow great food and the portions are crazy two people could share a meal here we both ordered the drunken noodles highly recommended and potstickers also very good and a good dipping sauce but too much food the drunken noodles are under $ 9 and are a great value. when you first walk in here you will be reminded of pei Wei but this is better.

My husband, son, and I ate here with a promotional voucher and probably will not return. The pros are that the environment is pretty comfortable, food is delivered quickly, and portions are large. The food itself though is pretty mediocre overall. We tried the lettuce wraps and the pork pot stickers as appetizers which were both fine, but nothing special. As entrees, we ordered the Dan Dan noodles and the Thai Coconut Curry noodle bowl The Dan Dan noodles were definitely the best thing we ordered and had some flavor to them. The Thai Coconut Curry noodle bowl was BAD. It had no flavor and everything but the few strips of peppers was completely mushy. My husband, toddler, and I all tried it and none of us ate more than 2 or 3 bites(and we tend to finish everything whenever we go out). I feel like this restaurant tries to occupy a similar space/demographic as Noodles and Company or Chipotle(prices are very similar and all have the fast casual approach), but i Ching is nowhere near as good as the other two.

This is fast food at dine in prices! Go to PF Chang instead! Seared tuna is packaged frozen already cut, put in frig in morning to thaw and then put on your plate when you order. They are so fast because it is same as frozen dinners in restaurant. shouldn’t be taking up space for a restaurant. Or at least put the prices as they should be along side mcdonalds!

One star for being convenient. It’s right next to the stores we wanted to shop at. Two stars for being super fast! We got our food super quick. Like a minute after we sat down. Three stars for being well lit and very nice environment for a quick lunch. I’m not sure how it compares to the restaurants at hamburg pavilion, but the food tasted great. Especially the thai black bean beef.

Good drunken noodles. Inexpensive with large portions. The fresh vegetables are great. Not sure what other lower ratings are talking about. I eat here at least once a month. Good kids meal options too.

Great when I want savory Asian-esque food in the Bluegrass heartland. iChing is easy to access from I-75, in the Hamburg Pavilion shopping center. I love stopping by when the normal fast food joints won’t cut it and I have a hankering for some Americanized Asian food. Taste is consistent, ingredients taste fresh, and I almost always clean my(huge) plate when I visit. Here’s the deal: – Menu is posted when you enter – Place your order, get a number – Take a seat, your food will be brought, usually in a very expedient time – Eat and enjoy – Don’t forget a fortune cookie! I used to order the Dan Dan Noodles all the time, then Hong Kong Street Noodles but have branched out to lettuce wraps and hot and sour soup recently and have not been disappointed. As long as you’re a fan of savory Asian food, there is probably not a bad thing on the menu. So, try your luck at iChing and you just may find a new favorite too!

Must be the worst chinese food I have had the displeasure of tasting. It was bland, the chicken had a stale rotten quality about it The rice sucked. Disgusting tasteless food. It did come in a nice fashionable paper box though! Stay Away !

All the dishes I have tried here have been very good. And they actually serve brown rice if you wish, a plus for Asian fare. The noodles are always well cooked, the veggies nice and crisp and spicy if you want. The spicy pork noodles are great!
