Lexington Trailer & Hitch LLC

I like that this place is a local family owned and operated business that sells US made hitches. I’m also a small business owner so like to ‘keep it in the family’ when it’s feasible. I needed a hitch quick and they had it ready to pick up next day– big plus. Unfortunately the markup on their products is a little much to bear for a frugal consumer. While I expect to pay a little more to shop local, paying nearly twice retail for a wiring harness has me feeling like I’m giving my money away– I shudder to think what it would cost to have them install the parts. I wish the business well, but will definitely shop around next time, and I recommend savvy consumers to do the same.

Would never use this business again the staff was friendly but I showed them what I had and was told I needed new brackets for 5^th wheel to be installed in new truck which were around $ 250 which was fine then was told what the charge would be for parts and installation and went and picked my truck up it was $ 50 more than quoted got home with the truck and looked at the work that had been done quality was good but the brackets they ordered and installed were the same that I already had so now I have an extra set… just don’t like wasting money foolishly

We do NOT over charge on labor and we do not, nor can we compete with online prices because we purchase for our one and only store. Our rates have not changed in the 6 years of owning this business. We offer veteran discounts of 10% on parts year round with a veteran ID and if you did not receive yours and I will be more than happy to give you the discount if your bring in your receipt (s) showing it was not given. Have gone here a couple of times and everytime what ever the parts were they were way overpriced but since I was limited on time had no other choice! Funny google review claims 10% discount to ex military! Yet I have never recieved a discount nor is there any signage claiming such a thing. Will never return and will tell anyone who needs trailer work to avoid!!! now shop at trailer parts place in nicholasville, ky or through eastern
both have far better prices.

We were traveling thru Lexington from MI & our trailer broke down which was filled with our household belongings. This company went way out of their way accommodate us. They allowed us to leave our fully loaded 24′ trailer with them while we located other options for removing our personal belongings from our disabled trailer. Our trailer part will take 3 weeks from the manufacturer which cannot be helped. Their price is fair & they are super courteous and nice.

I purchased an expensive trailer there. Went back with a different trailer for some repair and questions. The guy with the doo rag on his head did not want to help and it was evident he had no time for my questions. Price other vendors before purchase here.
