Libby’s of Lexington

I eat there at least once per month and it is consistently good!

While out and about in Lexington we discovered this adorable place right in the heart of Lexington.
They were packed on a Saturday afternoon so even though it was a little chilly we sat outside. They had heaters so we were fine. The menu was fairly simple and we ordered quickly. The waitstaff was very nice and quick to return to the table when we needed something.
I ordered the Reuben and it was the best Reuben I’d ever had! I’d highly recommend it. The meat was flavorful, juicy, and hot and it had the perfect amount of sauce and sauerkraut.
My friend got the Philly cheesesteak which was also good but not the best I’d ever had. It was pretty standard. He did ask for hot peppers though and neither of us thought it had much heat.
I enjoyed the fries too. They are thicker cut and seemed to be made fresh at the restaurant. Good side choice.
I would definitely stop by next time I’m out in Lexington. That Reuben might even require a special trip!

The food here was awesome! The staff was friendly and fast. I came here with my family of five and everyone was happy. If you have kids you know what a task making everyone happy is. I got the Rueben it was one of the best I’ve had. Hubby got the shrimp po boy and he said the shrimp was cooked perfect. Highly recommended!

Went in for lunch and got the special– bbq shrimp. I had high expectations given the reviews, but it just wasn’t good. The bbq sauce tasted very sweet kind of like Polynesian sauce from Chick Fil A. Just wasn’t what I expected. They were very busy and service as super slow. Also the food was pricey and the portion size was tiny! I wish I had more time on my lunch break to go get something else because I was so hungry afterward.

Once or twice a week regular! Food is great! Employees are great!

Fantastic fresh seafood, salads, and NY deli-​style sandwiches. Everything at Libby’s is made to order. Staff is courteous and attentive. Try the Folly Beach Fried Shrimp

Island pizza was great!.. service was a little slow but it was very busy too. The shrimp appetizer was good but nothing to write home about. The pizza we had alone was enough for the 4 stars!

My first time here was great. The food was well worth the money and the ambiance was a good country kitchen kind of feeling.
The waitress was a little slack on the drinks, but to be fair it was super packed.
This is definetly a habit eating spot if you love good seafood and good burgers.

The Shrimp Po boy is by far the best around. I love Libby’s and that it is local is amazing. I love giving back to the community and will spend extra for it to go back into the community. The salads are also very unique and tasty. I also have tried the pizzas and have been very very satisfied.

Average food and service to match. If you want southern food this is not your best bet. Shame on us for not reading the menu but we were in a hurry and passing thru via interstate and did not have time to research. Philly Cheesesteak? Pizza? Burgers? Chicken tenders? Bummer. We were really hoping for something unique to the area-​culture. Po’Boy was OK. Homemade potato chips (called raw fries) were very good. Slaw was decent as was the sweet tea. Disappointed is how we felt (especially when the waitress ignored us for too long and made us wait for along time to get our drinks refilled.)

Love this place! We’ve been here several times and have not been disappointed. We’ve sat outside every time and we just love the vibe of this place. I’ve had the shrimp and grits, fried shrimp platter and pizza here, they are all delicious! The shrimp and grits were creamy and really tasty. My favorite would probably be the fried shrimp platter, the shrimp were clearly so, so fresh and huge! They were cooked perfectly too and served with hot off the stove fries and homemade coleslaw. My husband loves their Hawaiian style pizza with bbq sauce. Definitely one of our favorite, local go-​to places!

Ehhh, Libby’s.
I have been here a few times and one time the food was really good. Otherwise it has been pretty terrible — service and food. Also, the food is way overpriced.
I do recommend their shrimp salad — it is awesome, but so expensive when you get about 5 shrimp. Do NOT get their burgers. They are absolutely disgusting. I could only eat two bites of mine and almost gagged. And I will eat almost anything.
Not one of my favorite places. My mom also hates it and refuses to eat here.

Pimento cheese burger and raw fries are so good! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff as well.

Great place! Family friendly and good food. My pimento cheese burger was just a touch overcooked (I asked for medium and got well done). Service was awesome!!! Great job! Overall I would definitely return here with a group or family!!!

Anything you get here is good. The service is always impeccable. Its a little hard to get in the parking lot during the lunch rush, but worth it

Stopped by here for lunch. I see why this restaurant has good reviews. The service and food was good. I ordered the Philly cheese steak with an order of hand cut fries. The Philly cheese steak was packed with flavorful meat, sweet peppers and caramelized onions. Their hand cut fries were really good seasoned well. I got a side of their homemade ranch dressing for dipping my fries in. I’ll definitely be returning.

My first visit today. was impressed with both the food, service and pricing. I had po boy shrimp sandwich and side of cole slaw. Both credible efforts. The roll was tender and tasty. The shrimp perfectly cooked. Cole slaw was above average. Iced tea. Unsweet was very good. The lemon was fresh. Rest room was cleaner and better than I expected. Overall I would say this is a serious player in the food game. Outside dining was nice as well. Good furniture choices. Trees and ferns added natural setting as best it could on a busy road.
A great addition to the Lexington good scene.

If you are looking for a great lunch spot, Libby’s is the place. If you are looking for a great dinner place, Libby’s is the place. I am never disappointed when I eat here. Some of my favorites are the grilled chicken sandwich, any of the wraps, the seafood special (which is fresh seafood from folly beach) and their fish or pork belly tacos.
The staff is also great and friendly too. The local business has been in business since 2010 so that should tell you something right there.
The only thing I haven’t tried is their pizza which I’ve heard from many it’s great and I definitely need to try it.

I was in town visiting my boyfriend. He had to go out and run some errands. I asked him for a local lunch suggestion and this was the first thing that came out of his mouth.

They are a local joint that was exactly what I was looking for. Good down home food. Not a huge menu but what was there was good. Very abbreviated list of options for beer and wine but it was better than nothing. The staff was very friendly. They had covered outdoor seating that looked inviting.
I parked around back in what seemed to be a dirt overflow lot. It was confusing to try to figure out where to go in.
Food was GREAT. I ended up ordering one of the specials. They had a name for the seafood special but it consisted of fried fish (can’t remember if it was flounder or trout) and fried scallops with one side. I opted for the homemade french fries for my side. All of it was to die for. Clearly hand battered seafood and the fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. I literally cleared my plate. Let me be clear. The portions were generous. I just couldn’t bring myself to leave even a crumb.
The staff even gave me suggestions of where to go that night. They were attentive enough but not awkwardly attentive just because I was there alone. I sat at the bar which consisted of like 4 or 5 bar stools. It was in an awkward spot but at least there was a tv so that I wasn’t constantly playing with my phone.
Boyfriend is moving up here with me in a few months but if I ever visit Lexington again, I will definitely go here again.

We stumbled upon Libby’s while in the Lexington, SC area. The restaurant isn’t very large but every dish we ordered and observed being served looked delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches and the hand cut french fries were wonderful. We will certainly go back to Libby’s during our next visit.
