Payless Shoesource No. 494

On July 9^th 2013 at 1:34pm i visited Payless shoe store in Fayette Mall in Lexington, Ky with my mother to buy some sandals and work shoes for myself. Apon checking out and using the special offer Buy one get one ½ price (BOGO as stated on the bill) My mother noticed a small sign at the check out counter that stated Military 10% discount would be offered when asked the lady at the counter replied «Why would you want to do that?» We were shocked why she would ask us such a weird question in a rude tone. My mother replied to save money and she laughed and stated «You can use both!» She then questioned my mothers military ID card. My father is 100% disabled Vietnam veteran, my mothers card reflects this proof. This sales lady was very argumentive and very rude and never seemed to wont to give my mother a chance to speak and explain to her, that her Military ID card was not the same as one she had seen the past. After getting home we noticed on the bill that we were charged incorrectly and couldn’t understand what she had rung up. We have always had good experiences when visiting Payless, but this lady rudeness would cause us not to return and give recommendations to others.
