My wife and I met some friends for lunch at Texas Roadhouse after church one Sunday. We were going mostly for the company as we’re not huge fans of most chain restaurants. Most have average food at best and questionable service. I must say that I’ve been surprised by this Texas Roadhouse location. Service has always been excellent and the food has always been fresh and as ordered. I give it 3 stars because I won’t give a chain more than that unless I’m completely blown away by the entire experience. If you like typical«American» food/steaks and you don’t mind a chain restaurant, than this might be the place for you.

Service is always good, portions are huge and food is good. We eat here a lot and it is always a good experience! I recommend the grilled chicken salad, the ribs and the cheese fries!

Great location for me. Servers are always able to carry on a conversation that goes beyond the menu. Everything I’ve had in my several visits has been tasty. I like being able to throw peanut shells on the floor with impunity. I cannot think of anything that would deter me from frequent visits.

This is hands-down, the best place to get a good steak at an affordable price. We had dinner here tonight, and it was delicious, as usual. Jessica was our server. She was attentive without being overbearing. The complimentary rolls with cinnamon butter were perfect. My husband and I both ordered the 11oz sirloin cooked medium, and they were cooked exactly right. My salad was very fresh and well prepared, as were both of our side dishes(steamed veggies for him and a baked potato for me). We both also had a skewer of grilled shrimp, and I cannot put into words how delicious it was. Our total bill was $ 74 and that included a carry-out meal I ordered for my daughter, a margarita for me, and a Coke for my husband, our entrees and the 2 skewers of shrimp. I think its an excellent value for the quality of food. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant!

Best Steakhouse for the $ anywhere period! Their Sirloin Steak is the best I have ever eaten at any Steakhouse! Their food is off the Chart for the price. I would have to visit Ruth Chris or Jeff Ruby’s to get a better Meal at 3 to 4 times the price! Also the Service is top notch and what you notice is the people working here actually appear to love their job. This is always a plus to me.

This restaurant has a barrel of peanuts for guests who are waiting for their table, and you just throw the shells on the floor. The service is great — my server checked frequently to see if I needed anything and gave me a new Diet Coke when I was just half finished with my first one. Entrees come with a choice of two sides. I chose a salad as one of my sides and the server told me everything that goes into the salad and asked if it was okay to include it all. I’ve never had a restaurant do that before. The rolls were hot, light, and great. The whipped cinnamon butter to spread on the rolls was also great. My steak was cooked perfectly. They have an early bird special Mondays to Fridays that is essentially a dollar off the regular price of the entrees that are available to be selected.

My favorite steak house chain and this one doesn’t disappoint. The bread is fresh and they will keep it coming as long as you ask. The steak was prepared to perfection and I love the blooming onion. I have never had bad service at this location and on this trip was no exception.

We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Lexington, KY. I’m not overly fond of the peanut shells on the floor, but that wasn’t the worst part about this restaurant. I ordered a medium rare prime rib. What I got was a rare(at best) piece of meat with so much fat and completely uncooked sections that 45% of the steak was completely inedible. I also don’t really understand the cinnamon butter served with the dinner rolls, it’s like eating a cinnamon roll for dinner. It was also very very loud, I couldn’t hear anyone at my own table. On the up side, the raspberry margarita is delicious. I suggest getting the 1800 double shot. But overall, I am extremely disappointed.

TR service is second to none. The food is reasonably priced and consistent at each location.

This is the newest of the two Lexington TR locations. I’ve eaten here countless times. It’s usually the place if choice when I’m in the area with my parents, their choice actually. The employees seem to be on the very young side, like 25 and under. The big perks are the free yeast rolls and salted, shelled peanuts. I don’t care for the cinnamon butter that comes with the rolls, but the waitresses always bring out the regular butter upon request. My dad prefers the steak here over the ones that he’s had at Malones… that says a lot about their steaks. I’ve had the fried pickles and the blooming onion but I didn’t like either of them. I do however have an appetizer weakness. I make two meals out of it, so don’t judge too much. Ok, it’s the cheese fries. I bet they have at least a week’s worth calcium that my body needs… but not to mention that it’s probably at least a week’s worth of calories too. My mom usually orders the grilled chicken sandwich and the side salad and both are huge. When I think of Texas, I think big and that’s everything here at Texas Roadhouse… big. If you’re like my parents and like to stick to nonlocal franchises, you’ll probably like this place. I however, prefer our local Malones, just up the road.

Top of the Texas Roadhouses I would drive across town to eat dinner at this location of this chain. The management and staff make it a point to take care of the customers. The food is always prepared to my liking. I have driven by at 8:00AM and seen the staff going in to get ready for lunch and dinner. You can tell the yeast rolls are hand made daily from scratch. The salads are cold and crisp without being wet. The peanuts are not all dried-out and moldy-tasting like at some chains when the get to the bottom of the barrel. The steaks and chicken are prepared to your order. And most of all the service staff are friendly and always helpful.

The food is always excellent. Salads are crisp. They have the best ranch dressing of any restaurant in Lexington. I’ve never been disappointed with the food or service.

It was 7 pm last Sunday, I’d been working since sun up and was hungry… really hungry and not for fast food and definitely not in the mood to cook. I placed an online pick up order for steak and sides to take home. The food was hot and ready when I walked in, and the hostess was friendly. I was back in my jeep heading home within 5 minutes. Everything was very well seasoned and the portions were huge. Seriously, there was enough for three meals there. They had also packed up a container of their yeast rolls and butter for me, which were fantastic. My only issue was that the steak was a little under from what I ordered. Overall, very pleasant experience for a tired working girl.

I see no reason to complain here. Not my first roadhouse probably not the best I’ve been too but I can’t really think of better. We had lunch. I got a cheeseburger and fries. It was very good. It was preceded by rolls with cinnamon butter and peanuts. I love the butter they have for their rolls. The girlfriend got a pulled pork sandwich with she let me taste and it was fantastic too. I know it’s a chain and all but when your in that kinda mood I would pick this place.

We visited the newest location off Harrodsburd Rd. last night and only because we had a gift card to use. I was pleasantly surprised. The waitstaff was fanstastic. We wanted for nothing and never felt bombarded by question after question. The food was okay. We ordered their verison of the blossom onion. If I hadn’t had different versions I may have liked this, but I thought it was overly breaded and the breading was a bit bland. So was the«spicy dipping sauce». I ordered the country fried sirlion with gravy, mashed potatos and green beans. Same breading that was on the onion was on my sirloin. Meh. The mashed potatos and gravy was excellent and if the green beans would have been firmer(they were mush) they would have been fanstastic too. Husband ordered the country fried chicken and again, same breading. Loaded baked potato and buttered corn. He enjoyed it but neither of us finished more than half of our meal. Too much breading, but that is our fault for ordering the blossom and then country fried anything. The cost was responable and left us with $ 16 remaining on a $ 50 giftcard. We’re not coming back so we left it to our watiress who again, was fantastic. For some reason I cannot find myself excited about this chain eatery but I recommend people at least giving it one or two tries like we did.

Went there last night. The service was AWESOME. I just wish I could say the same for the food. Had the onion blossom there and it was literally sitting in Grease on the bottom of the bowl it came in. I had the chicken and mushroom sandwich which was good. The fries were so over salted I am still retaining water from last night. My wife had the half slab. She said they were ok. No specifics. Same issue with the fries. It is is bad when you can see the salt crystals on the fries. Probably wont be going back. If I do I will remember NOSALT to request… Feeling bloated…

This was the first time i had been to this particular Texas Road House. I believe prior it was a mexican restaurant location. The atmosphere is more hussle/bussle and a bit odd due to the over top oddities that line the walls and counters. I mean i sit underneath a jackalope with an armadillo drinking a beer beside me with the buffalo mounted on the wall across from me. That being said… The food was great. You can get anything from an appetizers of a cactus blossom aka blooming onion to gator bites i believe. They serve anything from a burger to a well seasoned steak. On this venture, we just had a cactus blossom and an order of boneless wings. They have the option of a full bar and quite a few beers on tap. I happened to have a summertime hefeweizen to wash down my light snack with. Our waitress was great(her name was Mimi) and we couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. The poor girl that seated us well… lets say a girl that we followed to our seat assuming we were to follow her could have used some manners or a personality for that matter. Then proceeded to slam our silverware down in a drive by without saying a word. We weren’t going to say anything about this but then an elderly couple beside us said the same thing. We talked to the manager about the Seating lady and a few moments later the seating lady was happy and chatting with every customer. Great managing skills. Great experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

We love this place. The location is very convenient(for us anyways) and the food is very good. We’ve never had bad service and the prices are pretty good too! My only complaint is that the margaritas taste more like a fruit punch than a traditional margarita. Too much mix, not enough tequila. Also, my wife is in love with the chili. It’s good anytime of the year and always delicious. Hope this place stays around! It’s quickly becoming one of our favorite places to eat.

This place is a bit too kitschy for my taste. However, if you’re into discarding peanut shells on the floor, breaking out in line dance mid meal, and mounting a novelty saddle while staff and fellow patrons serenade you with a cringe worthy rendition of happy birthday, then this place might be right up your alley. If that isn’t enough enticement — you might just get lucky like me, and your waitress will repeatedly address your aging parents as «partner» and«darling». Food: Texas Roadhouse is a national chain restaurant specializing in casual American steakhouse fare. Menu options include everything from grilled pork chops and bacon cheeseburgers to barbecue ribs and New York Strip steak. Most entrees are served with a choice of two sides from a list of approximately a dozen different options. Complimentary baskets of yeast rolls and peanuts are served throughout the meal. During my visit, I opted for the country fried chicken with a side of buttered corn and steak fries. Overall, the food was edible, but not that memorable — the meal certainly wasn’t revolting, but I definitely couldn’t see myself venturing back here just for the food. Service: All of the employees, from the hostess to the waitress, were friendly, welcoming, and competent. Our party opted to utilize the call ahead seating option and we were seated immediately upon arrival — the table was already prepared, complete with the requested high chair. Atmosphere: The interior is decked out in a country western theme — the restaurant is essentially one large room with partitions that separate the bar and waiting areas from the dining room. The overall vibe is casual and lively. The clientele runs the gamut from elderly couples to families with children. Cost: Reasonably priced. Appetizers are $ 3.99-$ 9.99, salads are $ 3.99-$ 11.99, burgers and sandwiches are $ 7.49-$ 8.49, entrees are $ 9.99-$ 20.99, and combo meat entrees are $ 12.99-$ 19.49. Kids meals are $ 2.99-$ 4.99. Other: Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 4:00PM-10:00PM, Friday-Saturday, 11:00AM-11:00PM, and Sunday, 11:00AM-10:00PM. The restaurant features various special promotions throughout the week, including happy hour(Monday-Friday, 4PM-6PM), Margarita Mondays($ 3.50 each), and early bird specials($ 7.99 select entrees, Monday-Thursday until 6:00PM). Call ahead seating is available(859−296−0028) and highly recommended during peak dining hours, particularly on the weekends.
