Had a really great experience tonight. Pizza was fantastic and Jake did a great job serving. Very quick and responsive. There are noticeable improvements to the service. Great job!

Seriously good pizza that has that mysterious New York flavour. I recommend getting your own toppings instead of the regular fare. Slices are HUGE! Just wish they were the same price as in NYCXD. Definitely recommend though.

The service so slow we let before ordering. The previous visit the food was good not much cheese on pizzas.

I am from NYC and I have been missing home. So I ordered two slices of cheese pizza and it was perfect. I will go again :)

Closest NY style pizza you will find in town! We love this place and have had their pizza for pick up or delivery numerous times since we moved to Lex. The prices are reasonable and the pizza is always hot and delicious.

This place has the best pizza around. I grew up in Brooklyn NY and this pizza is exactly like it should be. Great service as well have never had any problems. Also try the eggplant parm. Excellent ! Love this place. Definitely recommend it to everyone!

Our favorite pizza in Lexington! We especially love the garlic knots and pepperoni pizza.

If you’re lucky enough to eat there when everything is going right it’s a pretty good experience. The other 90% of the time not so much. We finally gave up on eating there after our last experience. We called ahead so our pizza would be ready when we arrived after about a 15 – 20 min drive. It wasn’t. We had to wait another 15 min or so. When it did arrive we couldn’t eat it. The top of the pizza looked fine, but the underside was burnt so badly it was black. My 6 y/o son was starving and tried to eat a slice but couldn’t stand the taste. So we had to wait while they made another one. Another 15 min or so. Finally, nearly an hour and a half from when we placed our order, an edible pizza arrived. The server was quick to throw the kitchen under the bus. Apparently the oven was set to too high a temp and we were the first to dine in that evening. The manager didn’t come to our table or have any interaction with us, but she did knock 10% off the pizza portion of our order. A whole $ 1.20 I believe. This wasn’t the first time we’d experienced a problem, but it was the worst. Finally had enough disappointment and will be eating pizza elsewhere from now on.

I was a HUGE fan of Brooklyn Pizza when they were in Hamburg. Some of the best pizza in the world and light years better than anything in Kentucky now. This place last night was nothing like that. The restaurant was dirty. Unbussed tables were everywhere. Trash was stacked on the trash bins and the floors were a wasteland of dropped food, napkins and other mysterious goo. The service was pathetic. Three different servers came to our table saying they’d be right with us. It wasn’t that busy, perhaps half full. The waitstaff spent most of their time chatting by the order pick up window. When they’d accidentally interact with a customer, it was obviously trying to correct a mistake. A table of firefighters had to ask for something several times and we’re laughing amongst themselves about the poor service. I will not be going back the Brooklyn Pizza. Ever.

We really enjoyed the pizza! I ordered a calzone and it was delish! The waitress was very friendly when I phoned in our order and than when picking it up all the waitstaff was nice! We will def be back! They seem to have good happy hour deals for those that choose to eat in the restaurant!

My favorite pizza joint in lexington by far. The food is wonderful and at a great price. The staff is friendly. The only downside is it is on the other side of town from me, so I do not get to frequent it as much as my tummy wants!

I like the pizza and usually get the Pick Two for $ 6.99. The atmosphere is kind of dull and a little depressing. Add some music? Maybe better on game days.

I love this pizza joint! It’s one of my favs… We don’t go as often as we used to because they didn’t open the location closest to us back up… BUT, this last time I went I was less satisfied than my precious experiences which is why I gave it four instead of five stars… So let’s begin to explore why… The service was great that wasn’t the issue at all! I loved my server, my issue is possibly just a one time thing… The pizza didn’t seem to be what I remembered… I know it’s a different location but we’ve been to this location before too… It was just an off day I guess, the flavor was there, it was just too crisp I guess… I’m not used to this pizza being soooooo crunchy… I’m not much on crunchy pizza or crusts, which is why this has always been my favorite, sorry for the additional ramble… Not my typical review and I still gave them four stars because it wasn’t bad at all… Just my own personal issues… Oh and the wings are awesome…

There are not a lot of NY-style pizza places in Lexington at all. This place is my favorite. The pizza is excellent, the bar has several options on tap, and they have a lot of other food offerings that are great, too. This place is definitely worth a look.

I went here because a website advised me they had a pinball machine, but upon arrival no pinball machines existed and they said they recently went to dart boards were the pinball machine was. no one was playing darts this evening, and I am hopeful they would bring back a pinball machine, but they know best what the patrons want. But because they had good reviews in Unilocal,we stayed for pizza. The place has a great atmosphere for pizza! A+ for that and we ordered the white pie, and added black olives, it was really good! The crust is really good, and the flavor of the olive oil and all ingredients were well balanced! We though pricing was very reasonable and we even split a cannoli. The hostess that seat us, and Susanne who waited on us was very friendly and if there was only one problem was there was gaps on the waitress to check on our beverages and we had to give her eye contact after we were dry for a few minutes. I look forward to trying a red sauce pizza next.

I agree with Jenny K on this one. The outward appearance of this place will fool you. Not that it’s terribly bad on the outside but it was surprisingly bigger and nicer than I had thought it would be. Very friendly staff and good pizza. I split a pizza with my son who just likes a basic pepperoni pizza. I did have sausage added to my half but I can’t wait to go back with my wife and get one a little more dressed up. This place is definitely worth a try.

This restaurant kind of looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but it is pleasant and spacious inside. We held a going away party there, and there was plenty of room for our large group. The place was clean, staff was friendly, and their pizza was the best I’ve had in Lexington!

They have a large menu(traditional Americanized Italian, salads, subs), and the pizza was certainly better than the national chains. I write this review as I eat some of the leftover pizza. For the size and quality, the food was fairly priced. The place loses points, in my book, because the waitstaff were, at best, cautiously friendly. Eventually my waitress opened up, but I had to be the one to initiate friendliness. I ordered a 16 inch pizza with pepperoni, a soft drink and one of their cannoli, and the total(less tip) came up to being $ 21.10. Somehow, the leftover pizza tastes better today. As Anthony Bourdain once lamented in his show, No Reservations, every pizza place struggles to balance the quality of crust and the quantity of cheese(too much cheese introduces water, making the crust soggy). This place focuses(true to its NY roots) on a beautiful thin crust; it has exactly the right flavor. The sauce and cheese are adequate too. And strangely, this pizza tastes better on day two. I’m not sure why… But if you do order pizza, let it rest a bit. This will give the crust and cheese time to firm. The cannolo was brilliant, and it was obviously homemade, as it should be for $ 3! The crust was crispy, and the filling was creamy(with chocolate chips too!). Of all the cannoli in Lexington(and perhaps KY) this is the best I’ve had. They offer different sauces(strawberry, caramel, etc) to go with your confection, but plain won’t disappoint. The interior of the place looked spartan and lacking in cohesive feel, but then again, this is a pizza place, not high dining. I’d recommend this place, and I’m going to take my dad here for a fresh slice of NY-style pie. Let the pizza rest a bit, and don’t forget the cannoli.
