University Inn Hotel

Overall the hotel is okay. It is perfect if you are sating here for a quick one or two night stay. Not much too it, the gym is small, the bathrooms are oddly designed and mirror area is small. On the bright side, it is very clean and the lobby is very welcoming. The first thing I noticed when I walked in is that it smelled like vanilla and the front desk members looked happy.
Only major downfall is that the shower water was cold for some reason and the bathroom light did not work.

The room was big and had an incredibly comfortable bed. Slept like a baby! It had a mini fridge, sink, and microwave. Lots of space to spread out. The Bathroom was spacious as well.
The breakfast was incredible, fresh fruit and then the standard cold breakfast fare. The receptionist was extremely helpful and directed us towards a local pub since we wanted dinner and drinks.
Free Wifi and Parking.
Would recommend this place to anyone.

The room we reserved was very accommodating for our two night stay. It had a mini-​fridge, coffee making, desk, and plenty of space to be messy. Microwave was in the lobby. Housekeeping was excellent and someone even followed up to make sure we were satisfied with housekeeping. This location is nice and quiet despite being at a busy street corner. Parking was abundant and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Chopped fresh fruit in the morning was awesome!
It’s also a quick walk to most of the buildings we needed to get to. In terms of price, it was cheaper than most of the surrounding chain hotels.
I docked one star for our room smelling like old men cologne the entire time and even at arrival. Other than that it was very epic stay on such a beautiful campus.

The Friendly staff, clean room, and low cost were pluses. However, wE stayed in the detached building where the room and hallway reeked of cigarette smoke (despite about 100 signs telling people not to smoke). The little air conditioner that could tried mightily but never could cool the room down much below 80.

We were in Lexington for a conference, and wanted to stay outside of the downtown area, so we could get some downtime away from the conference. Our budget was small, and we wanted to stay someplace clean, comfortable and safe with free wifi and parking, and didn’t need a lot of frills. This place fit the bill perfectly. The décor is a little old-school…think wood paneling, and the beds weren’t particularly plush. If this is important to you, or you are looking for a really modern hi-​gloss hotel look elsewhere. We found it actually pretty charming and down-​to-​earth, and the friendliness of the staff can’t be beat. They really welcomed us and helped us out a lot during our stay. Standard continental breakfast, no frills, but perfectly fine four our needs. The hallways smelled a little funny, but overall the hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Others have noted ambulance sirens, but I didn’t have an issue.
Located near the hospital, and pretty much smack dab between the airport and downtown. There are places around to eat that are a walking distance, but you’re going to want a car or cab service to get around elsewhere.
So, a great down-​to-​earth place to stay if you’re not fussy about frills and need a safe, comfy, quiet place, and have a car to get around.

Very clean, with new furniture. Felt very comfortable walking around barefoot. Refrigerator in room is convenient. More than enough outlets… finally, I can plug in my phone and computer near the bed without unplugging the lamps and alarm clock!
Reasonably priced, with a free continental breakfast. Internet is fast.
I stayed in the building next to the lobby, very short distance of walking outside. Only suggestion I would have for this motel is to have the lighter curtains underneath the heavy curtains, so they can be opened to let light in but still give you privacy… I was on the first floor, so I didn’t want to have my curtains wide open for everyone to see in my room.
$ 18 taxi from the airport to the hotel. Short walking distance to the University Hospital.

Clean, good condition, can open windows and control hvac quite well; no actual faults in my room, halls, etc. 100% non-​smoking, plenty of parking, and right on a major road (near a hospital, so light sleepers might have trouble with ambulance sirens) so very convenient. Plenty of free parking.
Continental breakfast is pretty basic — only 2 kinds of cereal, boiled eggs, several toast/​pastry options, apple & orange juices, milk. Vending machines for other foods, but don’t think there is a restaurant or store within an easy walk.
Sheets, towels, & bedspread all quite clean, no stains, but fairly basic, not «plush.»
You may get it if bidding on Priceline.
Reception desk quick, friendly.

I’m not entirely sure how much this place cost to book. I was visiting the UK campus, and the university paid for it. The hotel is really close to the University Hospital, and it is a $ 15 – 20 (four mile) cab ride to the airport.
The receptionists that I talked with were really nice. They booked my cab, and they lent me an umbrella! They even served breakfast (standard hotel continental breakfast fare: danishes, juice, coffee, cereal, bagels) five minutes early so that I could get to the airport on time.
The room itself was decent. The wireless internet was a little weak, but sufficient. The furnishings were decent, if only a few years old. The bed was comfortable. They took out a key deposit ($ 5) for a magnetic swipe keycard, which was refunded after my stay. I thought the deposit was strange.
I don’t know the price, but I would likely stay here again if it were reasonable.
