Liberty Moo Duk Kwan Academy provides instruction in traditional Korean martial arts. Perfect for children needing to develop confidence and discipline as well as adults looking to develop and maintain a healthy fitness routine, not to mention the benefit of learning self defense. History

Established in 1986.

LMDKA was opened in 1986 by Sa Bom Nim Joseph Poppo. As part of the Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation, it has served the Liberty community ever since.

Meet the Business Owner

Ian and Annie C.

Business Owner

Ian began at LMDKA as a student at 4 years old. He is now the co-​owner and lead instructor of the do jang. His wife, Annie, began training in Fishkill when she was 8. A certified teacher, Annie also owns and instructs at the do jang. Both Mr. & Mrs. Constable are third degree black belts.
