Scam alert! Michael Shapiro is not to be trusted.
He requests you pay him $ 500 to ‘open your account’ with his company and then gives you a contract to sign stating that they keep your $ 500 if they can’t find you a tenant and you go to another property manager.
This company is making money by screwing people over, rather than running an ethical property management business.

I visited the office of PMOTS last week. I was interested in a property and wanted to view it and get an application in to get «first dibs» as it was new on the market. The owner viewed my application and shared that since my income was not three times the rent there would possibly be a «slightly higher deposite,» but we could address that at a later time since I had not even viewed the property and may not find it acceptable. He then told me that he would hold my application check until AFTER the viewing and he would call me in a week to schedule said viewing.
Fast forward 10 days: no one has called and the check — yeah, the same one the owner stated would NOT be cashed — is cashed. I still haven’t even seen the property. I call to inquire and speak to a «new» party, a lady who had been on vacation the previous week, who tells me, «You don’t qualify for this property because your income is too low.» Huh? Remember, I still haven’t even SEEN the property. Is there ANY communication in this office?
Whatever, just gimme my application fee that you said you would hold until viewing and thank you, Jebus, for letting me see how you operate BEFORE I got myself into a lease with this company! I was told I would receive my app fee via snail mail.. . I’ll report if I don’t.
My take, they seem a bit shady and undependable.

BEWARE of this company if you are looking for them to manage your property. They are dishonest and money will always go to Property Management of the South t first. The manager of this company does not make you feel that he is working for you; however, It is ALL ABOUT HIM and what he can put in his pocket first. He is dishonest and untrustworthy. I would never use this company again !!!
I am now using Excalibur and I am thrilled with this positive changes I have seen thus far.

BEWARE of this Company. They are not honest dealers. We tried to rent a property from them and they lied to us. They don’t even tell you the landlord’s name… scary.
