History

Established in 2003.

Our owner Jennifer Haralson started professionally pet sitting in 1999 when she learned about the industry. She fretted over leaving her 12 year old Cocker Spaniel, Dusty in a kennel while she took a trip to visit family. Hiring a pet sitter, she found her dream job! She provides other pet parents with peace of mind when they have to travel. Kennels are not for every type of pet, only a select few with thrive in that environments. Offering in-​home services (our home or yours) gives everyone the opportunity for fun, safe and loving options.

Manager

Lisa has been working for A Pause for Paws, Inc since 2007. She started as a pet sitter, worked hard and impressed clients so much that her pet sitting duties took over her entire work schedule. She moved into the dog walking and office manager position in 2008 and then became the lead cat care specialist at The Cats Pajamas (our sister company) in 2012. Lisa’s love for dogs and cats shows in everything she does. She posts the cutest photos and captions to our FB and business pages. Just talk to her and you will see how she is the best at LOVING pets.
