In business since 1995, AtoZ Window Screen, Chimney Sweep, & Dryer Vent Cleaning was started by a young college student named Aaron Zambrana. Not willing to take out student loans while earning his business degree, Aaron began his small business to support him and his wife through college. The window screen business was highly seasonal, Aaron began sweeping chimneys and cleaning clothes dryer vents during the winter to help offset the seasons.

Josh arrived on time and did a great job cleaning our chimneys and dryer vent – very efficient and no mess. One of the fireplaces wasn’t dirty enough to clean, so he inspected it and reduced the charge. He cleaned the leaves out of the valleys on the roof near our chimneys to make sure everything was draining properly. Our dryer vent had never been cleaned – glad it’s done now!

Aaron (owner) and Jeremy (technician) arrived on time and installed a stainless steel chimney liner to my wood stove on a 2 story brick and mortar chimney. They also applied elastomeric plaster to seal the chimney crown and shoulders from future water damage. They performed their jobs with the highest level of professionalism. They explained what they were doing and provided photos of the work done on the top of the chimney. They carefully worked over white carpet covering thoroughly and used vacuum throughout the job to keep dust down. They were well equipped with appropriate tools and materials to complete the job efficiently and professional results. They did an excellent job cleaning up both inside and outside work areas. They were very pleasant to work with and answered all my questions. I don’t have any hesitations in recommending A to Z for chimney repairs and cleaning services. They have cleaned my chimney in the past as well. This was a large job (taking about 6 hours) and they provided a very competitive bid. I wish all contractors performed at the level that Aaron and crew did for me.

Since deciding to no longer patronize a business that I consider dishonest and lacking in real customer service, I contacted A to Z. I have nothing but confidence in their services. We just had our gas fireplace refurbished and it is lovely. In the spring I intend to purchase sun screens for our kitchen. Keep up the great work, A to Z!

We needed covers for the gas fireplace chimney roof vents on our recently purchased home. We are fairly new to the area and didn’t know who to call but wanted a locally owned company. I called A to Z. The scheduler was polite and listened to our concern. The tech, Josh, arrived on time and was obviously well trained, courteous and knew what we needed after taking a look. He thoroughly and patiently described his recommendations and the work he would perform. He showed us the work on the covers before he reinstalled them. His work was meticulous. I am what is politely referred to as «particular» and his work met my high expectations. The service charges were fair and reasonable. W are more than pleased and will definitely use A to Z again.

The A to Z guys that came and inspected our fireplace today to try and find out the problem were awesome from start to finish. I asked them if they had booties to put over their shoes for inside and instead they just took off their shoes, loved it! Very professional and clean work, they tidied up and left no mess once they were all done. They came earlier than scheduled which was nice and called ahead to ask if that was ok. They explained everything at the end of the service so I could understand and also left it written down on their invoice. Very professional, kind, clean and quick service! Highly recommend this company, especially Aaron and his partner.

A to Z has serviced our house twice in the last three years.
Both times, the technician arrived on time and was very professional. We have two fireplaces, and a dryer vent that they service. They also have checked our chase cap, flues, chimneys, etc.
They keep us appraised of the condition of our wood-​burning equipment. They have good suggestions for how often to get the chimneys cleaned given how often we use them. They leave the house clean as can be and are courteous, friendly, and easy-​going with household animals, sleeping family members, etc.
We burn a fair amount of wood during the winter time, and it is important to keep those chimneys cleaned to prevent fires and other problems. A-​to-​Z Has been our go to providers for the service, and we can’t imagine changing!

They rebuilt my firebox because the back wall was collapsing, put in a damper, dropped in 2 flue liners, replaced the brick and mortar on the stack. My house was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. The owner Aaron was there supervising the entire project. Friendly and knowledgeable employees with mad skills. They went to great lengths to ensure nothing was damaged considering they were demolishing my old fireplace.
Here’s the icing on the cake. I was having an issue with smoke entering the house because the new firebox was not as deep as the original. I called Aaron, the owner, and he was out the next day and offered me a few options. He completed the work himself in 2 days at no additional charge. Who offers that type of service today? Not many.

A to Z Chimney Services really came through for us! We were in the middle of a refinance and needed chimney repairs ASAP. The wood framed chimney chase around the flue needed to be replaced due to dry rot. Before we found A to Z, we had over 5 different contractors out to give us an estimate, but due to our extremely steep roof, no one was up for the job. Enter A to Z Chimney. Aaron was confident in the company’s ability to complete the job, and assured us it would be completed by our tight deadline. They were able to work us in to their busy summer schedule and got the job done as promised! Aaron was extremely helpful and honest, and we really appreciated his professionalism. Thanks to A to Z Chimney, our refinance is going through and now we have a functioning chimney!

I am a first time wood burning chimney owner and had no idea on the condition of the chimney when I purchased the house. Darrick was very professional and explained everything he did during the chimney inspection and included pictures of the chimney while explaining the recommended repairs. I really liked the binder with diagrams and pictures to explain the repairs and why they are necessary. He was able to answer all of my questions. I have scheduled some of the repairs to be done and am confident that I will be happy with the results.

Bad scheduling
I have been a customer of A to Z since I bought my house. The techs have done a good job in the past so nothing bad on them.
The problem is their scheduling and attitude on the phone. I received an appt reminder card on July 10th for an upcoming appt on July 15th. Which is funny since you get $ 10 if you confirm 2 weeks out — guess no chance there. I Called on Monday the 13th to confirm and was told the techs would be in training that day. I said «you sent me an appt card for that day» — response: «we need more than 2 days of confirmation». I wonder if they would have rescheduled the training if I had called the day I got the card? I get appt reminder cards from my dentist also and they call to confirm with me. Big difference in customer service style for sure. If the card was just a reminder (which I would have appreciated) state that.
Time to find a new chimney and vent cleaning place.
