My wife and I ate here last month. We’d eaten at Florio’s several times before and after their move, and most often had a good, plus 3 star experience. Not this time. The service was average, and not because the place was packed. It wasn’t. Our waitress had little knowledge of the menu other than the specials for the day. We ordered an appetizer only to be told later that«uh, we don’t have that anymore.» She followed up explaining that they were also lacking a couple of the desserts listed on the menu, we can only assume for efficiency’s sake since we hadn’t ordered our entrée. The entrees that we ordered were not to the Florio’s standards we’re used to. I ordered the veal Marsala with Angel hair pasta. It was spaghetti with(I’m pretty sure) Heinz beef gravy from a jar with thin, tough, and gristlely slivers of beef. I didn’t ask, because I was afraid of the answer, but I don’t think it was veal. My wife’s entrée was less memorable as she didn’t even bring the remainder home. And we didn’t have dessert because of their efficiency exercise detailed above. Extremely disappointed. We liked Florio’s, and wish we knew what happened to their previous reputation.

Me and 3 of my friends when to Florios 2 Fridays ago just as walk in customers. And l will tell you they where bussy! So we had about a 15 minutes wait. So we went to the bar which basically was standing room. But we still got great service from the bare tender. And to add to that when we got sat to are table. He was also are server. So being a past server for about 20 years I was amazed how well are server/bartender who’s name is Justin so I’d say ask for him I know how hard it is to bartend for the hole restraint and then take very good care of multiple tables. Impressive. But I just ranted about that now on to the how the night. I ordered the salmon Palermo, that Justin recommended and I will tell you they have the best salmon in town. It is very fresh it came howl medley of veggies in closing asperigus yum. My hubby went more modern with a tour of Italy. That came with 4 cheese ravioli/fried chicken breast/and manicotti in a half marinara, half cream sauce which was so yummy. Also to add I like it cuz they give you a DININGEXPERIENCE. Which you don’t find much in this town any more there LOL. Also to add are friend who joined us had the«shrimp scalp scampi» which also included mussels and babby clams and shrimp. And for the price he got a good deal i would say. So I could add so much more but this is very long now. I will say we will be back and if thins continue how they where And do ask for Justin he has been there since they opened at there first location on day one so abut 3 years. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me and my hubby, and friend did!!!

I would give this place 2.5 stars instead of 3. There’s nothing particularly BAD about the food, it’s passable, and the new ambience with tablecloths is pretty nice, but nothing about it stands out, exactly, either. The pasta with brandy cream sauce I had was pretty average, the bread decent but not memorably tasty, and the service pretty standard. An overall middle of the road dining experience. When I go out, I like to spend my money at places I really like, and while Florio’s isn’t bad, I think there are tastier Italian restaurants in Lincoln.

I have eaten at Florio’s several times and every time it is wonderful. This time I had a coupon for a free appetizer and we ordered the Italian trio. It was very good. I especially liked the ravioli and shrimp. The fried shrimp are prepared the way they are supposed to be. We also ordered 2 drinks and both were actually made with alcohol so I didn’t feel cheated. For the main course I had the Sausage pizzaoli which was seriously delicious. The sauce is what makes the dish and you can tell it’s made from scratch. The dish is also reasonably priced. My girlfriend got the Salmon Palermo which she also loved. The sauce was very light and good and the salmon was cooked perfectly. In addition their bread is some of the best in lincoln. I have never left hungry nor disappointed. The negative reviews on here are probably from people who like crappie olive garden food.

Worst food. Awful. I got sick when I got home. I have no words. Horrible calamari, soft and old bread, canned gravy on pasta? Never again. So disappointed

Food delivery was very slow. We were told our order was stuck behind a large party. We waited for every course. The staff was not knowledgeable about the soup of the day or the wine list(perhaps she was new). I wish there weren’t a tv in the dinning area. I was expecting a nice restaurant to sit and talk to my family in, but my son was glued to the tv the whole meal. The music was loud but I may have just been annoyed by it due to all of the waiting we were doing. I will probably try it again because the food did taste good. A little pricey but tasty.

The«fresh» fish they offer is clearly frozen. I’ve heard that extra rolls people leave behind are brought back to the kitchen to use for bruschetta bread. That’s disgusting. The owner was smoking outside and swore in front of other guests. This place has so much promise, but it’s clearly run by people who just want a fast buck.

We ordered food for a dinner party of 20 people. We called weeks in advanced and placed the order, when the time came for our order they hadn’t even written it down and was completely lost so we had to scramble the day of our event. When we did get our food the price was 50 dollars over what we were told. Don’t have Florios cater your meal, period.

Good food. My shrimp and scallop scampi was too lemony for my taste and my angel hair was over cooked, BUT, every thing else was spot on.(2 other meals ordered) We will definitely come back but I’m not getting anything saying lemon in the description!

My wife and I ate at Florios tonight for dinner and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is great — very relaxing and comfortable. The music is really a nice touch — Tony Bennett and such! Food was very good. The only complaint either of us had was that my wife thought her dish was a tad salty and had too much sauce. She had the Chicken Carnosa(or something like that… can’t remember exactly)…which was a creamy pesto sauce, chicken and a bunch of veggies over fettucini. I had the Tortellini with chicken, and my sauce was a mixture of red and alfredo. It was delicious! The salad was very crisp and fresh and the rolls were good. We shared a canoli for dessert and it was one of the best cannolis I’ve ever had. Don’t pass that up! We look forward to going again and trying more items, including the steak. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out quickly and was very hot and fresh. This is the best Italian we have found so far in Lincoln. Glad it’s here!

Great Italian food. Best calamari in town! Always perfectly cooked, lightly breaded, not greasy. Taylor was a very good waiter as well.

I hate giving negative reviews but this was bad. Positive: our server was good and attentive. Unfortunately, the food and experience were not good. Upon arrival I waited in the small front area. About 2⁄3 of the bar area was covered with paperwork. Closest to me were photocopies of each employee’s social security number and drivers license with hand written hourly wage on each. I would quit immediately if I were an employee. They were really exposed if someone were criminal. The food was mostly terrible. The bread and salad were good. My water had some sort of weird floating things, I avoided. I had the chicken marsala. It was gross. The chicken was precut frozen junk that was tough and terrible not a real marsala chicken beast. Same with the mushrooms. I’d expect that at a sports bar not an Italian restaurant. I tipped 15% just to be fair to a waiter that was trying. When I left he wouldn’t even look away from the computer to say thanks because he thought my tip was low. The owner and family were smoking right outside the front door. Overall, so disappointed. It’s only a couple blocks from my office so I really wanted to love it but it was terrible on many levels. I’d pay more for real quality but I won’t be back to this place.

We called ahead and were told it would be 20 minutes. We were told 3 times it would just be a couple more minutes. After an hour and a half of waiting we left. It’s too bad because the food would have been delicious. Not sure if we’ll try again. When we called we asked about call ahead seating and they said they didn’t have it. When we got to the restaurant we realized they took reservations. Would have been nice to know that when we called. My aunt went to the hostesses about a hour and a half into our«20» minute wait. After she walked away one of the hostesses rolled her eyes at her. Not impressed. We have eaten there before and were very pleased. Not so this time.

My wife and I ate there for dinner on Saturday night(3÷14÷15). It was very busy but they had us seated fast. I ordered a beer at the bar while waiting and had immediate and attentive service. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and greeted and followed up with all the tables, you can tell he cares about his restaurant. The food was great, I had the Chicken Marsala and it was perfect, my wife had the Shrimp and Scallops Scampi and she also loved it. She also said the Minestrone soup was excellent. All in all it is a great little family restaurant tucked away in south Lincoln.
