Q.P. Ace Hardware on the northwest corner of 40th & Old Cheney opened during the first quarter of 2010. It is the fourth location in the Q.P. Ace family of stores. We are happy to now be serving south Lincoln. We’re in your neighborhood.

I am always able to find help from the staff. I’m usually approached by the staff before I realize I needed help anyways. They do have higher prices then their warehouse store competition, but their proximity to my house and (actually) being able to find an employee to help if needed makes up for the difference in price.

Took my mower in to get fixed, and after 6 weeks, it is still not fixed!!! I was initially told that it would be about a week to get the parts and be ready after that. I was told one time that they can’t fix it because it is chain saw season and they had to fix them first. I finally went back into the store and just picked it up. NO ONE seemed to care that it was not fixed when I went in to get it. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICE!!!

Generally speaking, I am a fan of all Ace stores. Service is usually excellent. Although prices can be a bit higher than a Menards, Lowes, or Home Depot. But for a quick trip, and friendly service, Ace usually can’t be beat.

I don’t know that I’ve ever given a 1-​star rating but this store has definately earned it. Bought a Stihl chain saw here which locked a bearing in first year. Took it in to their service and they immediately started making accusations of abuse and and poor gas/​oil mix. I was forced to go through local and Lincoln mgmt all of whom talked a good story but stood behind their inept service department. Went to the Stihl rep who provided a complete tear down which discovered they had a bearing failure unrelated to my use. When QP discovered I went to Stihl they even wrote a letter stating I don’t deserve anything. Stihl stood behind the saw and sent me a new one — would buy another. QP is abusive, rude and they do NOT provide service greater than any big box store. If you know they have what you want, you’re far better off with Menards, Home Depot or Lowe’s.

The staff seemed to have «specialties», if you ask someone a question, they have to go get the specific guy to answer it. they seem very eager to help, and are very personable.
