After attending University of Nebraska– Lincoln from 1999 to 2003 there were so many wonderful memories that had from my experience. The beautiful campus with all of the students hustling to and fro from building to building, the amazing recreation center that at the time was renovated, and of course Memorial Stadium always graciously standing watch over the campus. Students, locals, tourist and anyone else with any sense of tradition will walk by Memorial Stadium and pay their homage to this sporting icon. UNL is the epitamy of a college campus and university. I offers the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest minds in the world and as a student enjoy the ultimate college experience.
After over a decade being away from the University of Nebraska– Lincoln, I recently returned to find that my alma mata was amazingly better than the way I left it. The campus had significantly improved roads and infrastructure. They added dorms, teaching buildings, and modernized the Student Union. And amazingly the stadium was truly a sight to behold. It of course still stood as tall and beautiful as ever but the renovations and additions to stadium gave it a 2014 look that will take Memorial Stadium into the foreseeable future. Also the university built the world renowned Pinnacle Bank Arena in Haymarket District and this stadium is a sight to behold. UNL is as classy as the students, fans and state that it represents. After years of being away from UNL it is nice to come back and see that my alma mata is still in good hands.

Go Bruins! A great football victory…

If you’re looking to graduate with honors, with an A average, or with respect… Be wary of this school. I’ve wanted to be a Climatologist my entire life. I placed into Calculus and got into General Physics without it. I passed my General Physics class and failed my Calculus class… How funny is that. Either way, the teachers here are really really stupid. They are very uneducated themselves, I really believe all the money the school has goes to their stupid football team. I spent more time trying to get help from them or their teaching assistants then I actually got from them. I would have been better off homeschooling myself. But, of course you can’t do that.

The University of Nebraska-​Lincoln is the flagship post-​secondary institution in the state, home of the famed Cornhuskers, and place where I completed one graduate degree and am in the process of completing another. I can’t really speak to the undergraduate side of things, aside from the fact that they’re a bunch of whiny babies when I’ve had classes with them. I have no idea what it’s like to live on campus either.
My overall experience being a graduate student here has been positive. While it’s difficult to comment on the overall academic quality when you only take courses in a few departments (Jacking around with an emphasis in Clowning, in my case), I have been pleased with the faculty, many of whom I’ve had to sleep with to pull out a C.
The parking situation for commuter students like me is truly awful. You pay almost $ 500 for a parking pass that gets you close enough to campus that you probably need a tent and a sherpa to make the journey to class. Parking tickets should never be less expensive than a parking permit, but in this case, I think it’s a wash.
Overall, a good school with a lot of opportunities for mayhem, which is all you can ask for in a college experience.
