Wells Fargo Bank

This is an older Wells Fargo branch and it shows. It is smaller than most. Tends to be a bit noisy inside. Service is usually friendly, but a little slow. It is clean and well maintained. Plenty of drive thru access. Easy to navigate drive thru. Parking at the entrance is limited to just a few spaces. Most parking is on the side shared with a Runza restaurant.

This Wells Fargo drive through is the slowest in town. I dread it. And they are super nosey asking very personal questions when you are making deposits.

I’ve been a Wells Fargo customer for over seven years. I love their online banking, iPhone/​iPad apps, and mobile deposit. Their ATM’s are modern, fast, and easy to operate. But their in-​bank teller experience (at the 27^th Street location) is an old, tired, business model that needs to be re-​engineered. I stood in line for 20 minutes to deposit $ 1,400 in my checking account (mobile deposit limit is $ 1,000). There were four teller windows with only two in use. There were five people in the teller area (two at each open window and one on the drive-​up). I think they were training two of the tellers. I understand the need to train, but when there are eight people in line for two windows you need to find a way to speed things up. They didn’t. In fact they slowed things down to talk, discuss, and review what they were doing. Again, I understand training… it takes time… but no one is compensating me for my time. Wells Fargo needs to offer some type of kiosk within their branches that allows a customer (like me) who’s primarily an online customer to enter their own data and thus speed up the teller process. It’s time to shake up your 1990’s banking experience inside your branches and start to deliver a modern experience that offers choices on how to conduct banking business. I had to fill out a paper deposit slip! Come on, Wells Fargo, it’s a new century!
