We offer a home away from home for your dog. My home is a cage free environment for pets that are cat friendly. While you are away on vacation, your fur child can sleep on the couch, under the covers in bed or on my rug. Crates will only be used if that offers comfort for your pet or if truly needed. Your dog won’t even know you are away and will think that this is his/​her special vacation time.

Kitty care is different with in home visits to care for cats in their own personal environment. This keeps kitty happy and content not even knowing Mom and Dad have left on a holiday! Besides the basics of feeding, changing water and litter, I offer kitty cuddles and playtime if your cat is in the mood. If not, we respect kitty’s domain and hope the next day brings a few more purrs.

History

Established in 2003.

In truth, this has been a lifelong passion for me. It began with my grandmother’s dog when I was 2 and has been past of my life ever since. But I suppose it was ‘official’ in 2003 that I claimed my passion and embraced Cat And Dog Nanny as a business. Prior to that time, I struggled in my life as to who would care for my pets when I needed to travel. I would never consider a kennel or cage and generally asked friends to stay in my home to care for the fur children. But, frankly, that became impossible over time to find a person willing to petsit. It occurred to me that if I had this issue, then many others also share this dilemma. With that in mind, Cat And Dog Nanny took life and I wanted to offer others what I found lacking in my own situation. I would offer cat care at the kitty’s home, while offering dog care in my home. That being said sometimes we stretch with some bird or gerbil care, but mostly it is cat and dog care that I specialize in.

I am the Mom of 2 dog friendly kitties. As a child, my first best friend was my grandmother’s dog, Smokey. It was at that point that pets became a key part of my life. I was the «look, Ma, she followed me home» kid with a plethora of dogs, cats and even baby birds and bunnies in my life. Over time, it was just normal that I had various pets in my home. So, how good is it to do what I am passionate about, which is to enjoy and care for your pet?
