Went for lunch. A little dingy during the day. Bartender very nice and attentive. Cheese steak mostly undercooked onion and peppers and a couple of slices of steakum meat. Desert was delish.

I am giving this 4 stars because it’s one of a kind. This is a cool little place to go have some great European beers(mostly Catch & Polish, or the interesting ones are anyway) at unbeatable prices. A perfect place to get a little, or more than a little, in the bag if I lived closer. And once a few sheets into the wind, to be followed by greasy authentic Polish grub that you won’t find at your local Irish pub. This is a real Polish bar primarily patronized by Poles.(I’ll refrain from taking issue with the fact that the cooking is actually done by Hispanics in the back, since this is true of many, if not most, restaurants today.) But here is where I differ with a lot of the other reviews. The food is NOT great Polish cuisine, rather it’s Polish bar food, the kind of heavy greasy food one craves after tying one on. I had the breaded fried pork loin on one occasion and the kielbasa sandwich on another. Both were greasy to be washed down with copious amounts of beer. Good, but I wouldn’t characterize it as great cuisine. If you want real Polish food expertly prepared, may I suggest Krakowiak in South River

Food was amazing! We had the stuffed cabbage. If your here you have to try the home made Cytrynówka. One of our favorite local places. Authentic Polish

This is one of a few restaurants within walking distance of where I live. It’s definitely a Polish restaurant despite the fact that Unilocal lists them as American. The menu has a nice selection of dishes on it that you won’t find at a lot of other mainstream restaurants. My favorite has to be the chicken kabab platter, which honestly is more of a salad than anything else. Other menu items have more of the Polish flair to them, and it’s particularly interesting that each menu has a separate section for both English and Polish. As best I can tell it’s the same food in each section. Service is a bit hit or miss. If you sit at one of the tables you may have to keep flagging down one of the bartenders if you need anything. I’ve also noticed that they’ll occasionally forget to bring out the salad that is included with most entrees– and when you question them on it, they play the language game and pretend to not understand you. Thankfully the entrees are quite large in size so I didn’t leave hungry. Only thing I’m not sure about this place is that they can’t seem to decide if they are a restaurant, a bar, or a night club. I wish they would pick one and try to do that really well.

Went here last night with my roommate. Interior is a twist of modern and classic. The prices for drinks area reason in itself to come back. But the highlight is the cytrynowka. The most delicious sour you will ever have. Good polish food too

In the area and Unilocaled this joint. Drinks were cheap. Food was okay. I had the polish version of chicken Kiev(forget what they call it). It was very dry, and I typically like my chicken dry, but all the butter had escaped before it was served to me so it was basically a thin, crispy, flavorless roll of chicken. I was upset bc it’s one of my fav meals ever. Tried the kielbasa and pierogies too. Both good but I’ve had better. Service was slow but bartender was the only one there and she had maybe 10 people inside and 6 more outside to tend to. Place is pretty nice inside. Give it a try.

Once again Unilocal to the rescue! We received free bowling coupons from our local grocery store and my husband wanted to have a bite to eat somewhere new before bowling. Well, I did a quick Unilocal search and I had hubby convinced before I said«perogie.» We loved the bar and made friends with another couple. There’s a small seating area with booths and a foose-ball table. The bar area is small too but very inviting. The bartender provided great service and recommended the $ 5 beer special. This place is for all our Polish friends, the real deal. It’s like going out for Indian and noticing all the other folks there are Indian. Got it? Perogies — cheese and potato were AWESOME. You get about 16 and they are fantastic. So delicious! Kielbasa Sandwich — Thinly sliced kielbasa on a delicious bun. OMG, I dreamt about it. Hubby did too. I can’t wait to go back and order this again! Going to be taking more family and friends here in the future because we liked it that much. I’m really looking forward to returning!

This is the best place to get polish food in Linden. I have never had so much flavor in the food I was eating. Nice brick interior and low lighting. Very cozy place. Great service. The people here are super nice. The best pierogies and kielbasa in New Jersey.

A friend(a polish friend might I add) and I went here on a wednesday night because it was recommended that they have fairly authentic polish food. When first walking it, it looks like a bar lounge. Almost as shic as a nyc lounge, with dim lighting, sectioned off places to sit where it almost appears you can get bottle service when the joint turns into a club. Small on all scales, but décor is well done. Certainly not a restaurant vibe. However, once you take a seat you’re greeted by very nice and helpful waitresses. The food was up to par per my polish friend and she felt right at home having an authentic polish dish. It was also delicious! the prices were very fair-expect to pay 10 – 15 per entrée, and drinks very cheap-3−4 per vodka club. The place was empty on a wednesday night, but you can tell it probably picks up on the weekends. Great place hidden in the business area of linden. CHECKITOUT!
