Hyatt Place Baltimore/BWI Airport

This is my first stay at Hyatt place bwi. I’ll be here for the rest of the week but I’ve enjoyed my stay so far. The room is nice with nice beds. The pullout sofa bed is really helpful too, especially when you’re traveling with a group. The breakfast didn’t have too many options but the options were good quality and it changed throughout the week. We got a fair deal on the hotel rooms too.

I liked this hotel. The breakfast /​coffee stand /​front desk /​lounge area combined worked. The staff helped each other out & made the entrance area feel homey.
The breakfast at first glance looked small, but upon further inspection had everything I wanted or needed. Well done!
I did like how they had a nice couch to spread out & the way they had extra counter space in the vanity area.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. My family and I stayed here for 8 days during our trip to Baltimore for my college graduation. By the time I left, the place was starting to feel like home. All of the staff was friendly. They greeted us each day time we were in the lobby with a smile. They answered all questions we had and fulfilled all of our requests (mainly lots of extra blankets since my Southern California family was freezing in Baltimore’s weather :)).
The hotel was comfortable. My family knew it would be tight when five of us planned on staying in a room with two double beds and one pull-​out bed, but it ended up being fairly spacious. There was room for all of our luggage, cosmetics, shoes, snacks and mess. Even with the couch pulled out, we weren’t super crammed walking around. The hotel also has complementary wifi which is average speed.
There was free breakfast each morning which was better than most other free breakfasts. Each morning, there was eggs (some days scrambled eggs, other days egg sandwiches), either pancakes, waffles or french toast, and some type of meat. Plus, oatmeal with toppings, yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit salad, apples, oranges, bananas, grapefruit, bagels/​english muffins/​toast with jelly/​pb/​nutella/​butter, mini pastries, cereal, juices/​coffee/​tea. We can’t complain about the assortment. There isn’t much more they could’ve added. The staff was constantly refilling the food so they never ran out.
One downside was the limited seating in the lobby for breakfast. During the peak hours, it was often difficult to find somewhere to sit. Also, the pool is open for limited hours during the weekdays, but it is totally understandable since not many of the guests at this location had children. The one time my family went to the pool, we were the only ones there, aside from the on-​duty lifeguard.
I am very happy with my stay at Hyatt Place BWI. If my family is every back in the area, we will definitely stay here!

Pretty nice rooms, the pool was great and the breakfast was good. The elevator is very slow.

Here’s hoping that Hyatt Place Baltimore/​BWI Airport will be my go-​to Hyatt when I have early morning flights out of BWI. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be in LAX, PDX, SEA, and PHX and since HP/​BWI is about 2 miles to BWI, I don’t need to wake up at the crack of dawn to rush for an early flight.
HP/​BWI appears to be under renovation now — it has that sort of dusty, new building smell. Check-​in was quick and professional. Breakfast is from 6ish to 9:30 and I won’t be here long enough to check out the other amenities like the pool; I’m pretty sure the fitness room is being renovated. The spacious room is exactly what you’d expect at any Hyatt Place — a desk, L-​shaped sofa sleeper, fridge, and complimentary Wi-​Fi which should be standard at any hotel, in my opinion. My only pet peeve about HPs is that the AC/​heating unit is beside the bed.
Accommodations range from $ 125-​$ 169, however, I was able to reserve my room using Hyatt points + cash (4000 points + $ 55).

Under reno at the moment. The staff was kind and helpful, but there was no water during our 2 hour stay. They did not charge us, but please be aware.

First complaint: the walls are so thin you can hear everything going on in the next room. Two neighbors have tiny but VERY LOUD yippy dogs (and I’m allergic!) the smells are not the greatest (but it could be the dogs). Bed is soft and not terribly comfortable. Let’s see what goes wrong with. the morning breakfast. We’ve never stayed in a Hyatt Place before and we’re not likely to stay in one again.

We needed a place to stay after we attended a football game and before our early morning flight and reserved a room here. We were very impressed with the front desk staff, the large room (with a wonderful sitting area with large sectional, desk, fridge, extra sink, etc.) Much nicer than we expected for an airport hotel at a very reasonable price. I wish I got the name of the nice man that checked us in (around 11am on ¹²⁄₁₃). I’ll be looking to stay at Hyatt Places in the future.

Checked into my room and there was only a single pillow on the bed. When I asked the desk for another pillow, the only one they could find had no pillowcase. Back in the room, there was an empty dirty water bottle on the floor beside the bed. At 5:30 am was awakened by kitchen staff talking in the hall outside my room. A very bad night in what I thought would be a nice hotel.

I am sure my review is slanted by sheer exhaustion. I had spent the 7 hours leading up to my check-​in at DCA waiting for my flight to depart… but it never happened. I had to take a taxi to this hotel for my early morning flight out of BWI.
When I arrived, I was surprised by how run down the exterior was. The check-​in process was smooth, but unprofessional as the desk clerk couldn’t help but side talk the entire time to her co-​workers. They didn’t have the room I had reserved available. The elevators were run down and slow. The room was run down and the bathroom wasn’t clean. The Internet was free and relatively fast. The shuttle to BWI was free and on time (you do have to sign up).
I frequently stay at Hyatt Place and know that this experience isn’t typical. While I will continue to stay at Hyatt Place, I will avoid this hotel when in the BWI area.

Went for a company conference and was extremely impressed. Without exception, the staff was always gracious and helpful. Breakfast was a quality spread and the breakfast muffin/​sandwich was tasty. Including fresh fruit and hot oatmeal, it was more then enough to get me to lunch without snacking. The room was very spacious and clean. With a long corner L couch, one felt truly comfortable when watching the the tv. With a choice of 2 quality teas along with coffee in room, it rounded out the entry way comfortably. The bed is divided from the couch area and feels like new. A relaxing choice for any traveller or visitor to the area.

My husband and I love Hyatt Places. It is usually our hotel of choice when traveling anywhere. So when we were looking for a hotel for our wedding we naturally picked what we were familiar with. Choosing the Hyatt Place BWI was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. The staff was truly phenomenal. They went above and beyond to make sure my family and all of our guests felt at home. We seriously felt as though we were at home the entire weekend, which says a lot when you have about 50 people. Staying at this hotel really reassured why my husband and I love Hyatt Places, and they will continue to be our hotel of choice.

Very helpful staff — Denise at front desk checked me in, provided great instructions to rental car location, and helped arrange for shuttle service to pick me up with a wake up call and ride to BWI.
Noisy AC and funny smell in hall keep this from all stars.
But great staff and location for the airport.
Always impressed with the quality training of the team who work this line of hotels.

Stayed here for a business trip. The staff here is an absolute joy!!! Service was incredible from the time they picked me up in the shuttle at the airport, to my checkout and drive back. I have stayed at other Hyatt Place properties and this was by far the best. A huge thanks to Tank, Dee, Daren and the entire crew.
My room was clean and comfortable, nice big couch and a good workstation. The fridge was quite, the ac worked well, and the bed was great too.
I was on the 5^th of 6 floors and primarily took the stairs, and it wasn’t a big deal to me at all, but the elevator was a bit slow. The included wifi worked well and it was easy to connect.
The complimentary breakfast was better than most. Fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, oatmeal with all the fixings, cereal, pastry, breads, French toast and great breakfast sandwiches. One nice thing about this property is that you can get food ²⁴⁄₇. From burgers and wraps to soup and salad. They also have a descent selection of beer, wine and spirits, and great desserts.
Just a tip, skip the Red Robin next door And ask the shuttle will take you to the nearby G and M Crab Cakes, which is fabulous.
Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

The room was spacious, clean and modern. WiFi was spiffy and extremely pleased. After mulitplie stays at various locations in Alexandria, VA and in this area, by far the best.

Beautiful place with a Starbucks setup inside. The rooms are lovely. Very comfortable place for the whole family.
They do provide shuttle.
The staff very friendly and helpful when it came to finding a good seafood restaurant nearby in the area.

Giving a 1 star is being super generous to this unkept nasty unfriendly hotel. Let’s start with the staff. Their shirts were torn and stained and God forbid the girls smiled. They had poor customer service and attitude. We never got a hello or welcome from anytime we walked through the front door.
First evening of our 3 night stay we pulled out the sofa bed and found huge stains of feces. We called the front desk and was informed house keeping was closed. She never offered to come up herself and bring new sheets until I told her I wasn’t having anyone sleep on stained sheets. Never apologized.
Second evening we were relaxing before heading out to dinner and without notice a staff member walked in our room without a knock! She said she was sorry she had the wrong room. Did she? Or was she looking for something in particular? Made me think twice staying the third night.
The last evening we were approached by the friendliest staff member ever!!! Jamal, was super nice and went out of his way to make us welcome and appreciated in staying in their hotel. He made the last 6 hours pleasant for us.
Shuttles this hotel offers also transports other employees. Management should have a serious talk with ALL staff members not to speak poorly of their hotel and how much they hate their jobs. My comment is, thank goodness you are employed!!!
I personally would think twice before staying here.

Pretty comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly. Our rooms were clean and came with a couch and large TV. They have a decent breakfast from 6−10am. You can request shower caps, shavers, cotton swabs, all the necessities. You can also borrow a yoga mat or free weights. Or buy OTC meds, makeup remover, and even nail polish remover.
They have an indoor swimming pool on the first floor. Nothing really exciting, but it’s there. Looks like a lot of families come to this hotel.

I love the Hyatt Place! I stayed at many during a month long trip around the Northeast and have to say that it is a superior chain that gives you a lot for every penny.
This particular location had such a friendly staff that really went out of their way to make us feel special as guests. Extremely comfortable lobby and a suite that felt sparkly new. I highly recommend and will always look for the nearest Hyatt Place before booking a room in any city! Great brand!!!
