Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Melissa from the University of Florida in 1993. She worked for State Farm from 1994 to 2000. In 2001, she opened her own State Farm Insurance Agency in the Lithia/​FishHawk area. She enjoys being involved in her community and has volunteered for many organizations. She has been with the Junior League since 1995 and served on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society. She has been on the board of her HOA and is a member of the PTA. She is a Life Member the UF Alumni Association and past president of the Tampa Gator Club. Professionally, she is a member of the National Assoc of Insurance and Financial Advisors and Network Professionals, Inc. Brandon Chapter. Melissa has been a member of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce since 2001 and is Chair Elect for 2011-​12. She is a graduate of Leadership Brandon 2005 and was also awarded the 2006 Brandon Women-​Owned Small Business of the Year. She has been married to her husband David since 1999 and they have four children.
