When I first found out about this establishment I set up an appointment so that I could get a tour of the place. Four times I took time out of my day to get a tour and four times the person representing the place was not there. Finally I got incontact with the representative via phone and was offered a month free for the inconvenience. I took out a month-to-month membership, I had a trainer for the first month and for 5 additional month went in 3 – 4 times a week to get a proper workout. I was happy with the cleanliness and enjoyed the fact that I could go in any time I chose. Until one day I walked up to the gym and found letters stuck to the windows saying closed for the holidays. While I understand that the gym cannot be open every day of the year I wish the communication would be better than throwing a paper on the glass the day before. I relocated and was no longer able to exercise at the gym. 6 months later I received a call from one of the employees who seemed to be scolding me for not telling anyone that I was leaving. I explained that I had a month-to-month contract and i was informed that i had to write a 60 or 90 day notice. The employee told me I owed 170 dollars and said thank you and hung up. Eventhough I dont have any intentions of paying because a month-to-month contract to me means I can leave at any time I figured she would atleast inquire. I would think the employee would offer payment plans or atleast ask if i was planning to pay. I am a little disgruntled because I wanted a month-to-month so I wouldnt be stuck with a payment if LIFE happened and here I am being hassled. The gym is clean and has the equipment to get me where I want to be physically. Aside from the threadmills being broken 75% of the time and the bad communications between employees and clients this gym was okay. Just be careful when signing the contract. I guess if you have to sign a contract there is no such thing as month-to-month.
