Goody Goody Liquor

This liquor store has a great selection of alcohol. However, they should ensure they have enough floor staff to assist with questions.

Been here a couple times now and I really like this place.
Pros: GREAT wine selection. I’ve been able to find some of my favourite wines from Napa/​Sonoma, and a couple of sparkling wines that I also really like. They even have a couple varietals that are hard to find (albarino, arneis)
I love how the store is organized, with the bottle on top and the corresponding wine is below. Also have a great selection of rye and liquor. Also have a decent selection of local brews. Even when there is a crazy line because of a long weekend, they staff well and I never have had to wait a super long time to check out.
Cons: I really LOVE sour beer, and they only had 1 kind :(
Staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Couple times I have had AMAZING knowledgeable staff that have given me great recommendations. And then a couple times I have gotten the kid who doesn’t know anything about the place, so it just depends on who you ask I guess. Overall though, I will definitely be back.

This is a magical place full of tasty adult beverages. It is like taking a stroll through an indoor marketplace with an impressive wine selection. The spirit side isn’t as nicely appointed as the wine section but their liquor selection is still noteworthy. This is just a fun place to shop. Each wine room is divided by country with one section for the larger jugs and boxed wine. As you walk into each room, there place favorite suggestions up front. I could easily spend hours in here looking at everything they have and at every price point.

I went here to buy a Scotch Whiskey for my husband’s birthday. I’m 29 but maybe I look young? I lined up for the register and the first thing the cashier said was «get your ID out so you don’t waste time once it’s your turn». I look around and realize that I’m the only one she was talking to. There were four men lined up in front and behind me and I was the only one who needs to show ID?! I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m happy ppl think I’m younger than 21, but isn’t there a law in TX where you need to check everyone’s IDs? Ageist or sexist, whatever you call it…
Back in California if you don’t check everyone’s ID, the police will penalized the stores. Plus it was my first time so I wanted to sign up for a goody giddy membership to earn points, but the cashier didn’t want me hog the line so I was told that buying this whiskey won’t count so try again next time… What a lovely service! I will avoid the old skinny white lady with red curly hair and glasses.
Anyways they have great selection on alcohol. Their prices seem cheaper than Spec’s.

I visit Goody Goody all the time and I’ve always enjoyed the veteran discount that they would apply for us.
As of Jan 1 2016, they have stopped this.
Disappointing decision Goody Goody management. You lost a dedicated customer.

This place is the Willy Wonka factory for wine. Get lost, indulge, buy more than you came for. It’s perfect! There’s a buy 6 bottles of regular priced wine and get 10% off deal now, which is perfect for re-​stocking our wine wall. I also love on the weekends that they have someone talking with you and giving samples. Who doesn’t love free samples? We’re also in their Bottle Club free membership, where every dollar you spend equals $.01.

What a great store and one of my favorites! I just wish that they sold miniatures. Oh well… Yay Goody Goody!

I don’t go to liquor stores often, as I prefer to get my bubbly and wines from Costco. We were in town to visit friends though, one of whom is a fan of rum cocktails. While we were there for the rum I took a browse of their wine selection and it’s pretty vast and impressive. They have everything from local selections, top selling brands, and even imports from Italy and Spain.
They had some good sales going on so I picked up a bottle of pink Italian prosecco to try for under $ 11. Most pink bubblies are super sweet but this one was dry and slightly tart. I enjoyed it. We also got a 6 pack of Carlsburg beer and a 12 pack of miller lite. We walked out with all that spending less than $ 50.
The employees are very knowledgable and always nearby if you have any questions or need help finding something. And bonus, you never know who you might run into! I may or may not have bumped into a Dallas Stars player at a different Goody Goody location near the same area once. Everybody appreciates a good deal on booze, even the ones who can afford the top shelf stuff!

If you are looking for liquor then go no farther away. If they don’t have it they will kindly order it for you. The staff is friendly and very helpful with suggestions. Also the largest wine selection around. Skip the grocery stores and shop where you get help and variety.

Honestly, to the ONE person who thought the staff were rude, I think you were at a different store than this one.
Never in the 5 years I have been coming here, has the staff ever been anything but polite, courteous and helpful.

When I first moved to TX from CA you can imagine my horror when I learned liquor can only be purchased in yep, you guessed it, a liquor store. And go figure I always came off as an alcoholic when I realized I needed to stock up and it was A) after 9pm or B) Sunday.
When I finally remembered to buy alcohol with the rest of the Little Elm population, I decided to check this place out. Holy mother love of all that’s booze. This place is freaking spectacular. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Love that they’ll do tastings so you have an idea of what that new fancy liquor tastes like AND their selection is ridiculous. The only thing I can compare it to is BevMo and this place puts BevMo to shame.
I now see why people flock to the liquor stores. You can grab all your party essentials like the required solo cup, grab speciality wines from around the world, all the mouth watering beer a conossiuer would go crazy over and have more then just a few types of rum, etc to pick from.
In closing, I giggle every time I’m across the street at Kroger and see the parking lot packed here at 8:50p on Saturday as everyone is stocking up last min as if the world will end Sunday when they’re closed.

Great big liquor store. Awesome hard to find beers and wines. Daily tastings going on as you walk in. The clerks have everything you need, beer, wine, snacks, suggestions, they will even take your mail and mail it out for you. Best beer selection in Frisco/​Little Elm/​The Colony, including kegs.

Biggest liquor store I ever set foot in! We didn’t know much about a specific wine type but the staff was super friendly and helped point us in the right direction and give recommendations. Plus seriously, once you step foot in there its like a Universal Studios of Wines, beer and liquor — all over the world!

For one of my final reviews in Texas, I knew I had to make a stop here.
I wanted to grab a bottle of some Texas whisky to crack open in my new state of residence. A bottle of TX Whisky from Fort Worth would do nicely and it is getting packed away for the long haul to the great northwest.
Amazing selection of whiskys and lots of moonshine as well. That surprised me, but I wasn’t looking for that today. The prices seemed a little steep, I paid just under $ 40 for my bottle. Not sure what other places charge for the same thing. But I knew I could get it there and so I did. They had plently of the local whiskys from Carrollton and Lewisville and Herman Marshall out of Dallas.
Very easy to find good stuff and the staff was receptive to my suggestions about the TX Whisky. (I think the guy was gonna pick up a bottle for his son-​in-​law)

Very helpful associates, it’s close to home and they have great prices and a frequent buyer program.

Been here several times, and when I need something with alcohol in it I usually find the closest Goody Goody. Prices aren’t bad and the selection is crazy good… If you want something exotic or unusual, give any Goody Goody a try… I also buy a lot of gift sets when I’m shopping for a friend’s birthday, etc…

This place deserves 5 stars for so many reasons! Friendly & knowledgeable staff, awesome booze, wine and beer selection, even when its jammed for the holidays it never seems «too crowded,» reasonable prices (extreme to affordable) and most importantly it’s pretty close to my house! They often have a «sale» table at the front left of the store — products vary from holiday booze, wine, bar paraphernalia, etc… We have purchased some of the sale wine and have been happy each time. I love a sale and if it includes, wine — bonus!
Thankfully the construction around this place is just about done — no more awkward turns into the parking lot and crazy congestion!

What I like:
Great selection and fair prices. I visit Goody Goody’s a few times each month and always find new items to consider. There are always sales and often deep price cuts. For example, one gin I like to buy is often on sale for $ 10 for a 750ml that is normally $ 36. The staff is also nice. I never have to wait in line and often learn something new about whatever I’m buying (what to mix it with, etc …).
What I don’t like:
The construction… I doubt this is something they can fix, but I always cringe when driving my car through the 150 yards of muddy gravel/​dirt road to get into the place.
Summary: Good selection & prices, helpful staff, dirty car…
I’ll give it 4 stars when the construction is done with.
