Description

Specialties

Life Pawtners is a professional pet sitting business. I specialize in looking after your pets while you are on vacation, late home from work, or just unable to get home when you need to. I also offer overnight stays with your pets so you don’t have to stress them out by boarding them while you are gone. This also allows your home to be looked after so no one would ever know you were gone! There are other services I offer like picking up your pet’s food in case you forgot, picking up the waste in your back yard, or taking your furry friends to the vet in case they need shots. I want to make your life as stress-free for you AND your pet. I want to be your Pet Pawtner!

History

Established in 2014.

My business started from a life long love of animals. I grew up with many dogs and cats and could never imagine my life without them in it. I was in corporate America for 16 years and then went into massage therapy. Both were stressful, but I enjoy being a therapist way more than corporate America. As I tried to work for myself as a massage therapist, I realized how much I enjoyed not answering to anyone!

I also started volunteering and later fostering for a local cat rescue group and realized I wanted to work with animals as my job. So, pet sitting was a perfect match! And here I am!

Meet the Business Owner

Susan L.

Business Owner

I am a native Texas girl. I grew up in Richardson with my two older sisters and many dogs and cats. My family was a animal-loving bunch which I guess is where I got my love of animals. I live with my aunt and uncle in Saudi Arabia for 9 months and spent my freshman year of high school. It was fantastic.

Once on my own, I always had a cat or two in my home. I love their independence and spirit. I started working in the mortgage industry and spent 16 great and educational years doing any job someone was willing to teach me. I later got tired of corporate America and went to school to become a massage therapist. I continue to be a therapist, but the strain of the job has forced me to cut back on the massages I do a month.

One day, I found a local cat rescue group that was looking for volunteers to clean their adoption center and I said I wanted to do that. I then saw posts on FB of fosters needed to rescue cats and kittens that were in danger of being euthanized and I couldn’t resist!
