Food and service was a great experience. Highly recommend the nacho appetizer, the best balance of ingredients. Don’t miss this place

Tasty food from a wide and unique menu. The ambiance and cleanliness left much to be desired.

Best sit down restaurant burger in Central MN. Best onion rings in the midwest. Ordered the Plain Jane burger, and added bacon, swiss, and garlic aioli. Burger arrived with a beautiful crunchy brown crust seared on it, was well seasoned, and was topped with 2 delicious thick cut slices of bacon and a thick slice of real swiss. Meat was cooked well, but was not overcooked and dried out by any means. Aioli was served up on the side, which was fine. All atop a soft, fluffy brioche bun. The side order of onion rings was almost enough for 2 people, and were delighfully crisp and contained a sweet, tender onion that you could bite thru, instead of struggle with pulling it all out of the batter, a definite plus. Service was decent. My glass of ice tea was never empty, and it was brewed strong as well. Crème Brulee was seved with a perfect hard crust on top of a cool custardy bottom. Can’t wait to return.

We stopped for lunch on our way to the cities. The food was really top-notch, but what impressed us even more was how awesome the service was. My husband asked about one of the beers on the menu, our server’s response was an offer to bring us a taste. Food came out very quickly and was piping hot. Really glad we stopped!

We are from out of town so we came here to try out what looked to be the best restaurant in town. Whereas the food was okay and tasty and clearly you won’t find anything like it in this small town it’s still nothing to write home about. In a town this small you really can’t have too high of expectations but when you see the prices you think it must be worth it. I ordered the Sea Bass, the fish it’s self was good but the risotto was very bland. I felt this place to be over priced but if you’ve even been to this small town it’s totally the best your going to get. I will say the service was good and the beer selection was quiet unexpected, that I enjoyed! Im giving it four stars only because it clearly is the best this town has to offer but in my honest opinion, if I was at home, I would only give it three maybe even a two because it’s not worth the price.

Tried this place after reading the reviews. This was not a disappointment. The food is top notch. The artichoke chicken wrap left me wanting more. There were large leaves of fresh spinach in the sandwich. So much better than soggy frozen stuff. The fries are cooked to perfection, hot and crispy. A great option for a smaller city. Fresh great food.

Meals are exceptionable! Waitress was courteous and even brought crayons and a pict. for the kids to color. I have had everything from appetizers to the wonderful salads. Burgers and sweet potato fries are to die for! Even their BLT was exceptionable. They are equipped to serve one person or a large crowd in their back room. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through Little Falls or even if you live here and just haven’t tried it yet.

Chicken salad sounds boring until you’ve been to Little Falls. Apples poached in red wine, French fries onion rings, giant walnuts and more topped by a refreshing vinaigrette made this an outstanding lunch… And dinner! I love stopping here — a truly unexpected and hidden gem just off Hwy. 10.

Terrible green lighting that makes the food look weird. Especially for photos. Still a absolutely DELICIOUS meal! This is a gem of deliciousness in a little main street strip bar location. It’s small, but cozy. We had Artichoke Spinach Dip, Pistachio Crusted Walleye, Pork Tenderloin, Beet Salad, and Peach Crisp with Vanilla Bean ice cream. All very good. I especially loved the salad and crisp desert!

I use Unilocal to help find«hidden gems» for a great meal. I can’t wait to give this place a second chance because my gut tells me yesterday’s visit was the exception, judging other recent reviews. Arrived right before 5pm. Took a long time for server to come tableside and ask about beverages. She asked forgiveness because«it’s my third day on the job and I can’t believe I’m here all alone». Soon after, the reinforcements arrived(3 more servers) things improved a little in the attentiveness department, although our entire service time at the restaurant was passed to no fewer that three servers during the one hour experience. Order was taken. Choice number one was the monster burger. Specified to server(now a second person other than the first server) that two topping ingredients be placed on the side of the burger, not on top. Server said, «that’s how they do it». When order was delivered to table, of course, everything was heaped on top… not as requested. Strangest thing happened too… When the server heard the bell and began walking to our table, she looked at the plates, walked over to server number three(who prior to this time had not been at our table) and handed her the plates for delivery. Server number three brought them to our table, presented them in front of us and took off. When server number two came back mid-meal and asked if a water glass refill was desired I brought the error to her attention. She said«oh yeah, there’s a new guy cooking tonight». The experience was extraordinary taste and flavor combinations rated A++ for the food(especially in the value department) that was delivered to the table. The servers on the other hand leave much to be desired. I guess I came to the conclusion that if you want a meal that tastes like $ 50.+ for Less than $ 30.00(ACTUALPRICE) there has to be some give somewhere. That give was in the lack of quality of servers. All the glowing comments about the ambience, feel, locale, and warmth of the physical property was definitely there! Oh one more thing… if you are the kitchen employee who I viewed popping food into his mouth as I got in my car cubside to leave, in the future you may want to do this away from outside view! Taste will bring me back. Servers write their own paychecks in terms of gratuity though.

This is the place to eat in Little Falls! You could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there for a week and still be satisfied! I don’t believe I’ve ever had a something that wasn’t delish! Try Thursday night pasta night… Yum yum! O and the signature salad alone is a great thing. For breakfast see if they have the pancakes with pecans! My daughter said they were the best she’s ever had. No joke. Service is always great! Coffees good and prices are reasonable. Tell them Dave sent you! I don’t think they will charge you more…

I would never have expected such a great meal in such a small town in MN. I had the Ceasar salad and my wife had the shrimp salad. They were both made with very fresh ingredients and the meat was seasoned perfectly. The service was perfect.

Wow. We expected the food to be good, but really it was amazing. The artichoke dip is so creamy with just the right amount of fresh garlic. My son scraped every last bit out of the dish. Two of us had the bruschetta pasta, wonderful blend of flavors. The blackened shrimp wrap was a nice mix of spice and sweet, but light if you don’t want a heavy meal. I feel like some of the other reviewers and wish we lived closer so we could enjoy this restaurant more often!

Had the special breakfast sandwich — croissant, egg, sugar cured bacon, jalapeño aoili, cheese. OMG this was good. How do you make a breakfast sandwich new and craveable? Honestly, I didn’t think it was possible, but this sandwich did it. Plus, its a very friendly place, I sat at the pennisula table with a bunch of colorful regulars. Stopped on a whim, glad I did. Yum.

Wow, what a gem hidden in Small Falls! Excellent service and great selection of salads, burgers, and entrees. One of my favorite items is the strawberry rhubarb crisp! Gotta save a little room. Great coffee too!

I love this place! Ci and I used to not be Urban rats. We used to live in small town Northern MN. The Black & White was a godsend for us. We could walk in, and feel like we were in Uptown Minneapolis or the artsy NE Mpls. The jive of the place was phenomenal and the food was addicting. The quality and the hand craftiness of the food was so unique and well tended to, by the time it was presented, it looked like a piece of art. It was Napa Valley food in small town Minnesota! Really? I can not even mention all the delicious items we have eaten here but here are a few musts to try: Pasta dishes with Alfredo sauce Beef Burgundy Lobster Mac and Cheese Scallops-OMG-This is what I always order if they have it. Scallops in like a bacon type of sauce. Just anything with Scallops I promise you will love! I have even eaten lunch there and the burgers are out of this world. On Fridays, they have Bananas Foster so you can watch them cook those delicious bananas and sugar right before your eyes… Way Kool! You wont find any better in that neck of the woods!
