History
Established in 2008.
In 1924 Bills Theatres is founded by Elmer Bills, Sr., @ the Lyric Theatre in Salisbury, MO. His future wife, Johnnie, played the piano during the silent movies.
In 1936 Sterling Bagby was hired as a concession clerk. Growing up to marry his Higbee, MO ticket seller, Pauline, and together, started the Bagby Traveling Picture Show.
Elmer Bills, Jr. met his wife-to-be, Amy, at 13 (he lovingly refers to her as «the best popcorn girl I ever hired»).
In 1980 The Bills and Bagby families cemented decades of friendship by joining their two companies into B&B Theatres, and the two families as Sterling & Pauline’s son Bob married Elmer & Amy’s daughter Bridget.
In 2014 Pauline, Bob, Bridget, Elmer and Amy run the 9th largest theatre circuit in America, after purchasing Dickinson Theatres. And Bob and Bridget’s children Bobbie, Brittanie and Brock (yes, they are all Bs – what else could they be named?) are the fourth generation to work for their family’s chain.
Enjoy the magic of the movies!
Meet the Manager
Christopher G.
Manager
If there is two things Christopher likes it’s talking and Movies. When he found a job that allowed him to be paid to do both, he found his calling. Being the son a Military Man, and with a work history as varied as the movies he plays, there is almost no conversation topic he can’t chime in on. Just be careful to not start up a conversation before your movie, we would hate for you to miss the previews.
