I called first and they recommended a reservation. Reserving the rentals online was easy and good thing we did because several people were trying to rent on the spot, but they were booked for the day. Check in was easy, but I was semi-​disappointed because they did not have any paddle boards available when we arrived, even though our paid rentals started at 12:30 PM. The paddle boards became available at 12:50 PM and our 2 hour rental started at 12:50 PM. I understand that the gentleman could not flag people in to return their rentals, but to ensure a timely transition to the next rental group, I would suggest the company has a policy where a renter is charged an additional hour if they are late on rental returns. Overall I did enjoy the location, weather, and equipment. I will definitely try 5280 Paddle Sports again in the future.

Our group had a great time and learned a lot from Andrew, who is very knowledgeable and professional. The equipment and the instruction top notch. We all had a great experience on the water at Chatfield, then went to North Shore afterwards to «debrief.» Will definitely be renting boards from 5280 Paddle Sports in the future.

My young daughter and I took the lesson at Chatfield with Andrew and he was so patient and kind. We had a phenomenal time; laughing and learning! We fell in love with the sport and are anxious to get out there again!

Had a great lesson this morning with Andrew at Chatfield. Both first timers, one of husbands 65th bday outings. Very comfortable, both plan on doing it again. Instructions for those who progressed quickly so they could move, plenty of time and attention for all to get comfortable and have fun!

Had a great experience. Andrew is very knowledgeable and patient. The equipment is well maintained and not worn. It was my first time trying paddle boarding and it came very easily with Andrew’s instruction. I believe everyone should try this at least once. It’s relaxing yet good exercise and at $ 20 an hour not very expensive to try even if it’s not for you. Also, a great idea for a first date.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stand up paddleboarding lesson! Andrew was a great instructor who engaged everyone! I went by myself and never felt like an outsider. Perfectly sized group! Glad we were on the gravel pond where it was nice and flat! I look forward to returning again to rent from 5280 and maybe get to the point my dog could join me!
